Alien 3 was a good film. not too dark, good horror and suspense, and had a good bunch of actors, pity the Alien POV was a bit daft.

Alien 3 is amazing. The fact they killed Hicks and Newt really made the film feel like Alien. Alone. Love it.

totally agree with you.
The point of Hicks and Newt dying was to show Ripley that she was alone and that these creatures would never leave her and would have her lonely forever.
It took the movie back into the darkness of A L I E N.

Aliens was like a " hope " movie. There was a chance they could kill them all but it wasn't too be. She eventually realizes the only way to get out of the torment is too kill herself.

CJK , I don't know how you can put either avp movies above alien 3 !. :google:google:rotfl

Back on topic...:rotfl

I want Predator 3 to go back to the jungle, or at least a forest of some kind, or maybe even a desert. A lone group of humans, checking out why more and more of their townsfolk/fellow villagers have gone missing, and finding out something disturbing. In the meantime, you have two Predators: A bad blood one who has no honor and randomly kills, and a Predator hunting HIM, but not being scared off killing humans either. No teamups, make the Predators symphatic (establish a relation between the two; are they old rivals, enemies, friends, maybe even family, a son send to hunt down his deranged father?) but not TOO symphatic (they're both willing to kill and do so while thinking VERY lowly of the humans).

Keep it simple, but well directed, with good action, actually scare, plenty of mystery, well established character relations and humans dealing with both the unknown and nature itself, be it a desert, jungle, forest, whatever. No need to make it a big budget sci-fi extravaganza...

Oh, and for the love of god, go back to the Predator's routes and make them tribal hunters, not heavily armoured and hi-tech warriors. Even Wolf was guilty of that...

I don't really see how a third predator film could do anything new. Much as I love the creatures...PredatorsVSHumans has been done and now so has PredatorsVSAliens albeit badly. Setting it on the predator homeworld would seem to be the best bet, or at least featuring the predator homeworld a lot. Still I can't see what they could do that wouldn't just be retreading old ground of either previous predator films, previous Alien films or previous any films.

Whatever...

Alien/Aliens. I love them both so much, I just put them both on top.

AvP-R.

I like AvP more then I did....thanks to AvP-R, and like AvP-R way less then I did when it first came out.

You know, the more I think about it and read about it in this thread, a desert setting could work well. It would allow for an entirely new kind of Predator, one that's less of a jungle hunter (P1) or an African warrior (P2), but more of a desert warrior. Long rags covering it's body, some kinda cloak, maybe slight Egyptian hints in it's armour design, new and special weapons because normal ones could maybe freeze up if sand got into them...

As for a story, it could be my previous idea, or something else: An American town in the middle of a desert with a nearby armybase, or Afghanistan/Iraq one with an American base nearby. Some of the townsfolks/villagers go missing, soldiers go out to investigate along with those who reported it, all hell breaks loose and the soldiers end up dead, with the townsfolk/villagers having to find a way back while beating this advanced and ruthless hunter.

Dunno how popular/accepted the idea would be of Arabians being the protaganists with the US/UN soldiers dying, though. Bit tricky to not offend anyone with it; like those who think such a direction would portray the US soldiers as weaklings with the Arabs superior (which is NOT the point; it's regular folk having to somehow survive something that EXPERIENCED soldiers did not, with just a different ethnic POV then usual).

Yes, very well. Now all you have to do is get Oprah to say something on her show, like "I voted, you guys should too." If you do, you'll get 1000's of sigs in under a minute.:lol
But you should get Oprah to say that, or at least advertise on YouTube. If you want I will for ya, that way anyone on YouTube will see the petition.

I've already posted news about the petition on a few sites so hopefully it should continue to reveive a lot of sigs for a while longer and when it does start to slow down I i'llthink about contacting a few sites so that they can post articles. Also I am the only one really taking to forums at the moment but by august time i should recieve help from some friends who are busy at the moment with a petition of their own..
