P. would love you for that

P. loves something?

...but hate you for this :lol

There's only so many times I can write "Predator". It's like "Alien" and "Xenomorph", which is even worse as it still doesn't give them a name.

A quick search turned up the origin of Yautja, and it's almost on topic...

Is his bulbous head supposed to be an homage to Jean Claude’s Lobster monster :dunno

I know that Nolan used Jean Claude’s Predator design as his inspiration for Batman’s Lobster Batwing in TDKR lol

Dan Trachtenberg:

"The [original] design for me, though incredible, functionally it's always been very top-heavy. The head has always been so large to accommodate a person inside, especially when it was developed in the '80s. This is now the most refined, most proportional head-to-body ratio that's ever been. We actually were able to get the silhouette to be a little bit more anatomically correct. Frankly, it's the smallest, slimmest, I think, of the Predators, though still a hulking alien creature."

Sad to hear that.
You are actually the first to read that it's boring/not good.
I hope for the best, but seemingly...again...it's shares the same fate.
He doesn’t like anything and he also skimmed through the film. I don’t know why he doesn’t just retire to Canada and raise sheep.

How was your second viewing? Better or worse?
Just finished my second viewing and it was much worse because I was focused on how bad the creature design was.
Better Predator would of made the movie so much better.
As is it was pretty embarrassing considering what's come before, or after if you like 😆

I liked it both times, and on the second I found a liking for the Predator's new look.

It plays out like a cocky, young Predator whose over confidence gets him killed.

Naru fought like a wild cat, fast and tricky, and used her intelligence to beat her enemy.

It doesn't bode well for her when the ships arrive at the end, bringing what you expect to be the more experienced hunters who will claim the flintlock.

The design is OK. Another one of them that will probably grow on fans with time, much like Berserker. Adding a bandolier (made with wolf, bear and human skulls/bones) would be an instant improvement.

Interested to see if a sequel to this prequel gets made and what they decide to do with it.

I have a feeling there won't be as they need to contain this history, so as not to affect the timeline. The ships at the end may be indicative of a clean up crew who'll remove the evidence that the Predator was ever there.

Sounds like a job for the expert cleaner. A sequel solo film... :panic:
