Hmmm…. 🧐

Just watched it. Utter trash. I genuinely cannot understand the praise this film is getting. Earnestly not trying to be a hater/downer on this film, I just really hated it as much as I disliked The Predator.

As for the “as good as the original“ and ”best since the original” statements getting thrown around since the press screening... I’m convinced it’s mostly payed shills repeating it at nauseam until the normie consoomers actually believe it. It’s literally the only thing I’ve seen online most people saying about it and it’s pretty sus.

Hey, they showed it in broad daylight. Might as well show him the clearest view.

Oh my... That is bad. I mean reaaaaaaaly bad. That looks nothing like a Predator. Looks like a human body with a bad CGI head.

I never had any intention of watching this. Looked like crap to me from day one. I'm sorry, but putting a little girl fighting one of the fiercest creatures ever put in the cinema is laugh out loud bad. A strong women, ok. But this? A gritty young teenage...? Please.... :cuckoo: Now, if the whole tribe was trying to hunt the hunter and she tagged along and got in some blows that would be cool. But any other outcome than this thing wiping out the entire tribe and all it's hunters/warriors is nothing more than a joke.

But I enjoy reading peoples views on things. And maybe if everyone loved it, I'd eventually give it a go since I have Hulu. And the original Predator is one of my favorite movies of all time.

She beat it through wits, not strength.

Looks like the Berserker had sex with Mr. Potato Head. Looks decent enough with the mask on, but damn, I didn't expect the eyes and mouth to look the way they do.

Maybe they're trying to go for a primitive cousin of the modern Predator, the equivalent to neanderthals or homo erectus. Would explain why he looks... less developed.

I didn't think this needed to be spoilered for a Predator movie. :lol

I think someone on the design team got confused and thought the predator and the halo elites were the same thing.

I've never liked Predators without the masks on so I don't really care what it looks like underneath :dunno. The masks are what make the designs for me.

Judging from what we've seen, I don't know how many people are going to want Predator Voorhees on their shelves. Be real cool if the movie does well enough to get the franchise back in gear -- or at least the merchandising.

The people at what used to be "Fox" are quite proud of this movie. That will turn of course if it doesn't "perform" -- which I suppose means get good word of mouth these days.

I still don't think studios know how to monetize streaming quite yet for these "smaller" movies, hence the shelving of Batgirl. Lots of changes coming to streaming over the next two years.

I haven't seen it yet either. :lol Just made the mistake of popping in this morning like I did when the Predator photos leaked.

Ah, well. Design won't have any bearing on whether the film is good.

Now, uh... do we owe someone an apology?

Just watched I enjoyed the film probably the best predator movie from the franchise I’ve seen in a while since 1&2. And that post credits animation 😆 the predators 🏆

I think Predator Voorhees is a tad unfair on the character.

There's a lot of cannon fodder. To be honest, there's very little characters to care about (Naru, her brother and the dog are the heart of the story).

The Predator does have some character development. The title of the film Prey does tie into his hunting evolution; snake, wolf, bear, human.

He displays the usual Predator overconfidence and completely disregards Naru as a threat.
