This is in no way a complaint, but I noticed that his left lens on his undamaged helmet is a slight bit smaller than the right. It is still totally awesome.

Well, it's not easy sugarcoating the truth so...

so he is as high as old figures! i'm happy again!!

Pretty sure we established that making decisions based on photos from a single source wasn't a good idea with HT... I'd quote a few examples, but I'll just leave you be, lest I end up sounding dull and predictable.



Just got an email from Sideshow's CS department: I had to fill in some extra info to get my alternate shipping address set up last week, but it's officially a go! Hopefully they'll send it out today or tomorrow, in which case I'd get Classic either on Friday or next Monday. Phew.

my Ex was delivered today..
..ahem another HT pred to add to the collection,damn light up arm feature, the top door thingy wont click closed so if its not balanced right the thing will flop open when the holo is on there lol.

Still miss the old says when you had to "build" your pred which could take an hour or so and the hair dryer had to be handy

figure looks great. Only gripe about it is, 1. the hip armor is glued on so you can't take it off, 2. the shin armor on his lower legs are fused so you can't take them off either. Also just found out that the arm gauntlets are fused onto the body as well. (So much for customizations on the armor). It alarms me that Hot Toys is taking short-cuts like this on their predator line. If they decide to re-release their AVP line, I hope they don't start fusing the armor to the bodies. Part of the fun of the pred line was swopping armor from different preds to get cool customized armor combinations. Another thing that kind of bugs is how they glued the mandibles in the mask. I wish they'd left it alone like the old pred masks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Aside from these few things, it looks great.

What pose did you want?

I wanted him in the extreme pose I had my P1 in like this.....sadly he is not that "flexible" and way to tall to fit in my detolf. No worries though, I set it up another way.

Actually, it was broke. Look at the old P1 mask and closed mandibles for example.

Just got mine...and I can now officially say he is my favorite Hot Toys Pred thus far. Simply gorgeous figure!

I was just thinking...is it possible to add the extra helmet to Shadow Predator? It kinda looks like you can pull the bottom jaw out (there's a seam) but it won't budge. It'd be pretty sweet to display Shadow with the mask.

I like the new mandible mask a lot better as well. It stays on better and makes the figure's various display options look a lot better in my opinion.

It may stay on better, but you can't swop the mask and put it on another pred, or you can't really customize a new mask for it like you could on the old P1. But you are right, it definitely stays on tighter. I just like the flexibility and the added options to swop out and put on and customize the various armor pieces and mask like in the older preds. Now with these new preds, it looks like you can't do it anymore. Things are getting more and more fused together so that you can't take them off. Don't get me wrong, the figure still looks nice, it just would be more nice to have the ability to customize the armor/mask or swop out armor/mask for other armor/mask. It adds a little more fun to the collecting experience is all.

There was really no excitement for me for this figure because I've managed to stay away from this thread for so long and I thought I was more than happy with the original P1, but after having this figure in my hands for about a few minutes now, THIS is the Predator figure I've always wanted. Sure, it's not the actual P1, but once I get CREG's conversion kit on this guy, it will be

This is far better than HT's first P1 release. What a predator should look like. I'm glad some fool paid way too much money for my p1 months ago on eBay.
