Don't pre order on ebay ever. Find out roughly when the item is going to be released and keep an eye on ebay or in the thread for it getting in stock in HK. Message a guy who has it at the best price and ask if he will low value/gift mark it (which they do 90% of the time) then order it! Spam the thread with pics and feel sorry for all thoes guys asking if their current retailer or guy they ordered it from in advance 8 months ago has it in stock for up to a month or 2 later.

Great advice! I do this sometimes myself and will be doing it ALL the time from now on after having to wait sooooooo long for Jack Sparrow.

Fine advice if you dont know the seller or whether they're trust worthy, but for goodshipped et al, i feel confident enough buying figures months in advance. Typically you get them slightly cheaper ordering early too.

Well, you've got to message around guys on ebay first just to get a dialogue going with them. Some guys if you become a repeat buyer will message you before they even list the items and give you a discount because they will also be avoiding the 10% final value fee.

Ebay (HK) sellers are really friendly guys and will look out for you once you are " in " with them so to say.

I always buy from my HK ebay seller. This is the first time I've not received a figure before Sideshow has shipped theirs.

That's...disappointing. They usually give pretty "safe" time-frames though.

Hey guys, without going through all the posts in this thread. Can someone tell me the differences between the batches please? Also, why are there differences? I'm new to this kind of thing...

Dig through some of my posts ive taken pictures and wrote comparisons of some of the differences.

And also there is a first batch that was meant as a very limited number for a promotion in TaiWan. A few of us here own them because we bought any that came in stock on ebay first and as a result we got the limited version. Batch 2 seems to be a revised version of the batch. There must of been things they did not approve of in the first batch and they amended it. but IMO i do not think every change was for the better.

I prefer the later batch that you will get through most retailers including those that are distributed to by Sideshow. The eyes are much better on the later batch and that's very important to me.

I really don't think it will fit, most pred bios are not interchangeable.I know that's lame but i have ten preds and there bio's really do not fit unless there heads were the same, like the p1 and gort have the same heads.

I don't think it would fit either but it would be nice to see it balanced on for a picture or 2 (or a dot of bluetac)

The garden was twice as wide too until my dad and brother decided to build a giant garage on it. We also needed to shorten the garden a bit with tree's (we planted 25 down the bottom) because people were climbing over our fence and using our garden is a short cut through the area (as its about a 25 minute walk around) as well as people standing on the railway lines and chucking stones are the houses. Bastards.

I prefer the eyes on the later batch too and I also like the quills on the head too.
In fact, I have mine displayed with the bio mask off, closed mouth.
If anyone gets around to recreating and selling the totem, I'll hang him up to it, with mouth open.
