SSC is tired of people going to other retailers so there are putting polices in place to help steer people into buying directly from them.

Simple really.

Would you happen to know why SSC is the ONLY HT distributor in the US? Did they make a contract with Hot Toys?

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing they have a contract with HT.

Who knows what will happen.

The wild card here is HT as they can choose who or how to sell to people. I thought that toys2 were getting there stock from Hong Kong directly as they used to get there stuff in around 2 weeks before SSC but lately even toys2 have been delayed and are shipping quite late for them and well after SSC and even other U.S retailers.

Even some of the Hong Kong ebay sellers have been delayed quite a bit.

Things are a changing on the HT front. I hope this is temporary.

sideshow shares their liesence with hot toys to produce some figures.
diamond also distribies some ht figures, such as batman,others.

Paid 200$ for the regular version (wich is in stock) free shipped to Europe from that hot toys online store that people are still a bit wary to buy from.
Their original price is higher than 200$ but like it's stated on their store they accept offers. They agreed on mine, they offered me to buy the exclusive for 30$ more but i passed.

But they send from HK, well? So you will must paid any fees? Or they send it from some EU country?

The website says they are are Hong Kong so yes if you ship to Europe you will need to pay VAT + fee.

Id never import from an official website again unless there is no other possible way through either ebay or a personal seller to get something. It is too expensive. If you buy something for $200 with free shipping chances are you will be getting a $38 VAT fee + handling fee of about $16 if its anything like parcelforce. Id rather pay for postage which would inevitably be cheaper and ask the guy to mark it low so it doesnt spend for up to 2 weeks in customs. And like i said in a post a few weeks ago id have the figure in hand at 5+ weeks sooner.

I'm not sure if i got this right but their customerservice told me that they have different distributors, based on from where the buyer is they ship from a different distributor. H
e told me for the USA they have a canadian distributor.
What i got from other European buyer, is that their figure came from HK.
So i guess thats where i'm getting mine.
As for the fees or taxes idon't worry about it since it seems that they accept to send as gift and lower the content value.
I've got no problem paying the taxes but the fees fedex or chronopost (the french company that deals with EMS) make you pay are just outragous, add to that that i got to deal with some _______s delivery guys who did not have the patience to wait for me writing a check (i told him to ____ off id get my package at their branch myself).
With under-decleared value i avoid losing money and ____ty tempered delivery guys.
So like someone previoulsystated i won't buy from stores who don't do that save for some exclusive at good prices like the batman i got fromSideshow.

got mine today. beautiful, beautiful skin colors, so alive!
terrible, terrible joints and pegs! one foot peg already broken + i'm afraid to move any elbows or shoulders & so on.
already managed to put P1 head with SilentSurfer mouth and tylerdurdem helmet on the body. colors almost match, hooray. no armor or gloves paint yet and won't be for a long time, i'm too tired for today from 3 parcels coming at one day.
p.s. "second batch", brighter body/head with round eyes. head paint is also very beautiful, but the sculpt makes me puke, so i hid the head far away.

well may be i have too rude arms&hands, but nothing ever felt so unsafe in any of old preds, and i took apart, cut inside and put back together every one of them, sometimes twice.
but the paint... it's something that i did not expect at all HT found a very nice painter since old times.

Now THAT is what i wanna see!

I do like the pics of the original head on the new body, though. As much as I love the new and improved (controversial) headsculpt of classic, the original had all the accurate curves.

After being two weeks over due my Classic came today. The brown mailer has been opened and retaped, there is no white tissue paper, the box looks like it's been kicked around on the floor and the figure's black plastic tray was put in backwards and upside down.

I'm waiting on Sideshow for instructions for sending it back for a replacement. This makes two back to back I've had to get replacements for (Bruce Wayne/Batman Begins), and another long wait.

Sounds like you have a suspect UPS hub handling your packages. Perhaps ask SS to ship using a different method?

I've had the same problems with my Predators.Falconer,Tracker and Berserker all had stiff limbs.My Shadow predators left arm came off at the elbow when I tried bending it.
I'm waiting for my Classic Predator.I hope he doesn't have any problems.
