I don’t think that was in response to the quality of those statues.

actually it was. paint quality and sculpt accuracy are nonexistent things in SS garden gnomes.

Cool to see this figure still is being talked about/appreciated all these years later. I actually just picked one up from a local shop for $225 out the door. I have a few upcoming Star Wars figures preordered, but that makes this guy my first, official Hot Toys that I have in hand and I am STOKED! He looks pretty awesome. Now to decide if I'm going to go back after the long weekend is over and pick up the City Hunter they have for the same price ��

Agreed. He’s still a stunning looking Predator figure. If you can get CH 2.0 brand new at $225 out the door, don’t hesitate.

I had most of the HT predators at one point or another. This is the only one i still have or care to have. Though I have the necklace, base, and Hose from the Predator 1 figure.

I have mine with the BD mask and the hologram Earth, as he was in Predators. I think he looks cool as is, just as essentially a generic JH from the JH clan.

I never picked up the first Predator. He had some issues I really didn’t want to deal with. I do have this guy with the P1 kit though. It’s a great representation, albeit slightly less accurate. Even if they revisit the original Predator down the road, I’ll probably just stick to this one.

How does the netting hold up on this guy?

I think I’ve ruined my Scar pred’s left arm netting by having him in a gauntlet activation pose for a few years. It’s been well over a month since I reposed him and it hasn’t reformed in the slightest.

My original Predators Classic figure has never seen the light of day and I just recently picked up someone’s kitted out Pred and haven’t had time to inspect it. Obviously, one arm isn’t netted, so I know I can freely pose that one.

You think? I always figured they used the casters on targets that would pose an imminent threat if they went toe to toe with, otherwise they'd prefer the challenge of closer combat, especially with Prey like this. I bet they hold those trophies in high regard

He was generally risk-averse, did most of his killing and maiming using his plasma canon while cloaked. I think he only went hand to hand with Dutch because he was alone at that point and the Predator was rightly confident he would win - and just didn't count on Dutch's ingenuity with those traps. So that's why I don't think he'd take the chance of being eaten by a T-Rex. Like a human hunter he'd happily kill it from afar to claim his trophy.

he was also angry at Dutch for fooling him with traps before and for destroying his cloaking system. others were fun, this one spoiled all fun, made predator go hysterical with shooting all over the forest and had to be taught a lesson.

Think there would be any issues with leaving him posed with his left arm bent, holding up to inspect what is presumably Billy’s skull? I took a gander at the netting on the two Preds and the AvP nets seem to be a tad thinner. I’m guessing the one on my Scar might be a lost cause now.
