Keep in mind, I don't think Larry Fishburne is a bad actor or anything. He's great on CSI and he's been in a lot of good movies. I don't think Adrien Brody is bad actor either. But both those guys looked out of place in Predators IMO.

They should have used Fishburne's daughter instead.

I also really like those recasts. It's a nice change when people make suggestions to cast changes without amplifying the acting budget three hundred times.

No. No it wasn't. But then again, since you couldnt figure out what he was doing....well...may god have mercy on your soul.

let's be truthful celticp. most people didn't know what was going on in this movie. why do you think there's so many threads with people asking questions about what was going on. that's a first step to a recipe for a bad movie when things are not explained. l wont get into all the other bad stuff because l know you will kill your self soon if you keep hearing all the bad. so l will help save your life.:lol

But...it's incredibly obvious what he was doing.

If you didnt understand that, you're an idiot imo.

I dont see how not explaining stuff is what makes a movie bad...was Predator bad because it never explained exactly what the Predator was? Or what planet it came from?

Was Alien bad because we dont know how it got to LV-426?

Was Inception bad because the ending was left up to you?

How about you actually hate the movie for a logical reason, and not little petty things.

The plants look like human plants because they had a small budget, and couldnt create a sweeping Avatar-esq landscape....simple as that. RR's gonna come up with bull____ to jusitfy it...but none of it's accurate.

Man this movie fizzled out quick at the box office.

Debuted at #3. By the next week it was #8. Next week it was #10 and now it's #14.

Budget: $40,000,000

Domestic: $49,792,086
Foreign: $53,810,877

I still don't think this movie will beat out AVP in domestic OR Foreign gross.

Budget: $60,000,000

Domestic: $80,282,231
Foreign: $92,262,423
Worldwide: $172,544,654

Well if there's one good thing about the movie not doing to hot in theaters, it means it may come out on DVD/Blu Ray quicker. Like I said I really enjoyed this movie though peace to those who didn't.

I completely agree. I can't wait to watch it again.:yess:

Heh i went to check for an early bird showing of predators today but they had already taken it out of theaters, I was kinda sad. But now that it may be coming out in september that's good. I look forward to owning the bluray

wow, September's just around the corner, seems too soon but thats good news.

Well the problem is, it's being pulled from a lot of theaters. It's down to 873 and it's only been out less than 3 weeks.

It's expected. It's an R Rated movie based on a 26 year old franchise....

I'm just glad it's getting a sequel, so you can say if flopped all you want! :lol

Predator still lives on!

One thing that I dont quite understand is why would Royce cover himself in mud for the final fight when he practically set the whole place on fire. Berserker was surrounded by fire and would only see orange/red/yellow. But since Royce covered himself in mud, he would seem blue-ish and appear visible again, making the whole plan quite pointless.
Or did he only partially cover himself in mud in order to camouflage the humanoid bodyshape of his or something, or did he figure the fire would go out soon or the berserker being smarter and not getting trapped in the circle of fire?

Is a sequel already confirmed for this? If so that is awesome, did they give any other details about the sequel or just that it will be made?

he covered himself in mud to rip off the original.

I get exactly what you are saying. But an idea I just came up with is that he needed to be invisable to the predator before the fires were started. So he covered himself in mud to hide his heat signiature whilst luring the predator into his trap.
