I also think the mouth is a bit inaccurate. Lips are a bit too full, especially the lower. But it doesn't bother me that much since the rest is spot on.

Thats odd because honestly IMO his GBU guys' likeness weren't that great at all.
We all know Clint was the weakest at par... Van Cleef was the best likeness amongst the three and Tuco too was just better than Blondie.. which isnt much to speak for its likeness. But yes his DDL sculpts are the best, even Dude is one of his best likeness...

GBU is an amazing set, but I will have to agree the likeness is off for both Blondie and Tuco. Van CLeef is amazing for both Col Mortimer and The Bad.

Every can agree that Eagleeye is Rainman's best work to date, but I do think Lecter has potential to be his best yet (pending Anton )

I've said it as soon as the sculpt was shown that the mouth area needs serious work. Rainmain is very talented and the sculpt is perfect from the nose up, but his recent one-shot approach to his sculpts is very off putting. He used to take all suggestions into consideration and improve the sculpt. Its like he just doesn't care anymore. Like its about the quantity rather than the quality, which is what he used to pride himself on.

all we know this lecter is just a prototype..DDL and LVC are the best sculpts of rainman so far, JB is very nice too..

I am a little bit in disagree about the pay attention to the details, we must do not forget the statue and the dwarf of orange alex and chocolate wonka, but about the headsculpt I think he could improve the quality a little bit...and give to them a likeness more human than comics..

one of my favorite movies and characters, i have 2 others sculpts from differrent sculptors, and both lack the important smirk, if you showed me this with just the nose on down i would never have guessed hopkins, again just my opinion like everyone else's...that smirk is going to make or break this sculpt, i just checked the net for images to see if i could find this one, i could not...this will really s_ck if not corrected......and like all i highly respect RM,...own a half dozen figs, plus the iminime stuff, would really like him to listen to a few on here and at least try and re-do it...no harm in that?? but i dont think 3-4 people with a gripe will matter, many more would have to disagree..

All this talk about the mouth and we've yet to see his bald spot. Is THAT s__t accurate is my question!

But seriously about the mouth, the bottom lip would benifit from being a smidge thinner

More than the mouth, what I see that is off are the ears. His ears a pretty big and stick out a little more than I believe is portrayed in this sculpt. It's a bit hard to judge from this one pic but it seems that the ears are too close to his head.

Also it may be better to paint the eyes straighter than looking up. The way they are painted now, you'd have to have the head tilted downward for him to look forward which will look like this:

The ears and the eyes are my biggest gripes. If the mouth gets fixed that's great too. I wouldn't mind a more subtle smile either.

I'm not seeing the Hopkins likeness in this one, somthing besides the mouth area is off.
Didn't Denny say that Rainman was reworking it a bit?

I don't think that the whole sculpt is off at all. This isn't like the Skipper situation where there are so many necessary tweaks needed, that it's probably easier just redoing it from scratch.

We were all happy with this when the unpainted WIP was first revealed. I don't think anything changed since then. If they thin the bottom lip, make the top of the ears stick out more and paint the eyes straight...boom. We'll be home free sculpt-wise
