You know what is just as sad? Brown noseing fanboys who will lick up whatever is offered to them if it's good or not. You know the kind of people who will make apologies for things that fall short or excuse the sculptor for using creative license when they can't pull off a likeness. And then happily endorse an inferior product. Denny is not going to please everyone. No sculptor or producer can. I applaude his decession to make changes, but I still need to see them before thinking about a purchase. They obviously thougt is was finished before or they would not have shown pictures of it. Whos to say it will be any closer when it's revised? Good luck to them. I hope they pull it off.

Requesting changes or suggesting improvements like an adult is reasonable enough and Denny encourages this which says a lot about his ethics. However *****ing, moaning, demanding and being down right rude is disrespectful and uncalled for, yet it happens a lot and not just in Iminime threads.

I honestly think this whole 'respect' and 'kudos you are a stand up guy' compliments which happens in all the threads of various customisers are meaningless, few are really meant sincerely as I see these being forgotten in the next thread where something about the product doesnt seem desirable to individual tastes.

People are conveniently respectful and disrespectful when they want to be based on if their individual want is satisfied or not. With more times passing by 'disrespect' is being passed around as 'cold hard truth'. Suggestions are not made keeping in mind a common ground which can be beneficial to both customers and makers rather push towards those catering to specific personalised taste.
Work ethics, even who should be used to do what in production is being dictated. Expressing disappointment is fine, so is asking for changes. But downright attacks on artists and what they give is not acceptable in my opinion. And its not happened once, but quite a lot of times.

Maybe its an evolution of what the next step of custom figures may become: Each figure being a one-off for each individual consumer.

Why do all the iminime threads turn out like this? I am glad they are revising the heads because why not but after they took our advice and offered all three of the outfits what more could you want? We just have to find a way to get the gurney made but this is truly the ultimate lecter offering.

No idea, I too asked for the changes in the sculpt like a lot of people, it was still going well, but in the middle someone just had to take a hit at Rainman and his work ethic for Iminime and then everything just went haywire...

But let me assure you from what I heard from Denny although difficult to mod on a hardened epoxy sculpt he will be doing all he can for making the changes necessary to make this the best possible Lecter till now.

But let me assure you from what I heard from Denny although difficult to mod on a hardened epoxy sculpt he will be doing all he can for making the changes necessary to make this the best possible Lecter till now.

That part is awesome, and honestly Denny usually listens and at least try. In fact he kind of always does. I don't get why some people throw tantrums. I've like many have expressed disappointment in other threads maturely and others have chimed in and agreed or disagreed and it's all lead to the betterment of a product but there's always a few in the bunch who act like children and it all goes to hell.

I got a little animated in this thread too but never towards iminime or rainman, my stance was that anyone who wanted blue over orange jumpsuit mask and straightjacket was I wanted to make sure the iminime talents tackled the thing I'd have the hardest time making on my own, and they followed through with flying colors.

I wouldn't say the head was perfect either but Denny was already underway thinking about revisions before all the personal attacks started happening.

About the jumpsuit i would have to actually apologise I was seeing you and Mags animated about your want for them and thnking they wouldnt come, whereas Denny had decided to do them long back. I thought I would break it to you guys but when I saw Denny too didnt say anything when he replied once I thought why not wait for the final reveal and see you guys being pleasantly surprised

I think you're probably offering it just as an outfit set but if you were thinking of including accessories, here are a couple of suggestions to think about:

Lamb dinner on serving tray
Drawing of Clarice with the lamb
Tape player

Have a little faith brother. If the changes that they made to Skipper is an indication of their range of wiggle room, I think this will be able to be improved enough to satisfy most people.

Frankly, "the sculpt is hard" is not an acceptable excuse not to update it. It just lazy. All they have to do is mold that head and the take some wax, melt it and pour it into the mold. Now they've got the head in a material they can easily change. Most professional sculptors work in wax or similar material (ie can be altered several times) just for this reason. And iminime is serious about going to the big leagues, this is something they need to move to. Professionals go through several sculpt approvals before a head is approved, not just 1 attempt.

Yes, altering a sculpt takes time and some more material costs, but that just part of the game. If they aren't willing to do that, then they shouldn't finalize a sculpt before previewing it. I don't know. I just don't like the fact its like pulling teeth to get them to fix a sculpt that was identified as being off from the beginning. We shouldn't have to hound them like this for that, it should be a given.

Sideshow and other professionals use WAX
It's just depends on artists' taste.
Making details : Sculphey is normally better to express, but sculphey is a bit more difficult than Wax.
Many Western Artists use Wax, Asian Artists use Sculphey more(I mean Korean artists do not use wax much)

I hope you understand about the work and I am sure I know much better than you about using wax and sculphey.
I know the differences on Deformation things. All has its advantages and disadvantages. Ok ?
