People over at SF are saying that the scale of X-23 is off. Someone was saying that she's meant to be about 5'7" or 5'8", and that the statue is off being around 19.5 inches tall. A couple have even said that if it isn't in scale with other pieces in their collection, like the AH pieces, that they won't be keeping it.

Personally scale doesn't really matter to me, yeah it may be off, but I have all different scales in my collection and I think the bigger the better. I'm certainly not complaining about it being too big particularly cause of the price, I think $200 for that size of a statue is a really good deal.

So do you guys think the size is a typo on SS's site, or is it right? And would it bother you if it isn't in scale with other pieces in your collection?

According to the SSC site its the same height as AH Black Cat maquette including the box!

...but this thing sold out in 5 minutes or less. I go on at 6:05 and they were gone...

No, it took well over 30 minutes to sell out. The Newsletter went up around 5:30PM PST... for the first 20 minutes or so, the low quantity bar wasn't even up. I don't think the sells really took off until it was almost normal Newsletter time and people began signing in to the Newsletter.

I for one will never complain if a statue is too big... I think it just gives it more of a museum feel and i enjoy larger pieces regardless of scale.

I don't understand the scale question either... imagine if every painting hanging in a museum were all 8" x 14", lined up down the wall in rows... boring!

Different scales bring diversity and life to a collection! Viva la difference!

...I think when people got their first look at her...they invisioned her in a specific place in their collection...scale does matter to me because of the way I group my collection...I was a little dissapointed when I saw how large she was, only because I wanted her in a specific place and no way would she fit. Still a sweet sculpt and ES...

I can completely understand wanting to "group" pieces and have them the same scale... but it doesn't bother me if they aren't the same. If she is considered part of the Marvel Comiquette "line", then she should have been in scale with the rest; I'll agree with that. That would be like Sideshow finishing the Universal Monster busts as Legendary scale size instead of the established 1:1 size... that would really piss me off!!! :rotfl

So is she in 1/4th scale like the Marvel PF's?

That depends. The official Marvel site lists her at 5'6" which would be 66". A fourth of that would be 16.5". The product size is 19.5" so if her "X" base is about three inches tall then its perfect 1/4 scale. If not then she'd be a bit over.

Oh, and I love the face!!! It may not do much for a lot of you guys, but it really "speaks" to me... and says "come hither"!!! :rotfl
