This is my old pic when I was planning to replace body. Medicom is indeed using regular 12" (30cm to head) body.
To make correct Kaneda height, you need much smaller body.

Ganghood asian body can bring him to Luke Skywalker height. but matching the skin tone would be tuff as currently only DT003 body has pale skin.

Quick repaint of the laser gun (more like my own ver. 😅)

Cool pics et customization.

Overall pretty disappointing release.
My main gripe and it's really a scam is that yeah it might not be leather at all.
Which is one of the main reason I got it.
Will need to have an actual confirmation and might return it.

I was never going to use the headsculpts, they are very well done but it's an realistic interpretation of Kaneda and I don't care for it so I got it to use the goggle HS from my medicom and have on the bike.
I have a custom kaneda with real leather set that I display on a museum posé.

The body is good, a ko of slim hottoys but with realistic forearms. However its ratchet articulations and the plastic are meh. So Im using a custom body, legs from slim hot toys, chest from a normal body (slightly wider chest shoulders, just a bit tighter on the shirt but it fits) , with slim forearms that give an anime look.

The hands, are realistic too so I'm instead using my extra kaneda hands wich will be better as PTf 'up by not providing an actual gripping hand for the laser?!?!! Wtf

Talking about the Laser, the paint was lazy AF! Yo go the realistic route by copying Portoys at least weather the damn laser. Easy fix with some dry brush but come on...
Worst the got the cable completely wrong as it should go under the grip, not on the rear top of the cannon.
I cut it from the top, Dremeled under the grip and fixed it.

I had modded my medicom HS to fit hot toys Bodie a while ago. It looks like a girafe neck on a museum pose but it's on purpose as it's going to go on the bike the extra will allow it to look better in seated position. Buit I can shorten it if needed.

Box is gorgeous.
Stand is stupidly big for nothing.

Overall it's not bad but could be better with fixing some things.

But yeah I hope it's leather because we all been through that pain of the medicom crappy pleather.

Will update with pics :)

Totally valid point

A Lot of people are getting this figure cause of the outfit and without any interest in the realistic take . Wanting to upgrade the medicom figure it's probably the best way of using this PT Kaneda

I laughed When you mentioned the action gripping hands for the laser gun cause I noticed that sh/t just when I try to put the gun on the figure 🤣 my Kaneda ended up with some magnets on that f hand and gun because f0ck the collectors right PT??

Again maybe I'm wrong with the outfit and maybe this is a new low for real leather but I did compare it with some cheap real leather and man this is not like it , I also compared vs the threezero guts pleather pants, mad max faux cheap pleather and judge Dredd sh/tty as f0ck pleather and this Kaneda outfit was the same felling... ok maybe not as cheap as the Dredd pleather but the texture was the same to the other pleather figures.

Initially I didn't wanted to believe it cause some Chinese collector mentioned it (don't remember if I read it or was in a Chinese video review) but now in hand I can understand why he said that.

Definitely not the best PT release but now that I've seen the T-1000... At least this one looks similar to the promo pics and looks ok overall

It's annoying to hold a weapon without a grip hand, so I made my own. It's really simple. I used a heat gun, but you need to be careful as it gets very hot. I recommend using a hair dryer instead. Soften the fingers, shape them into a grip hand, and then dip them into cold water to harden and fix the finger shape.
