I will give Obama credit in his statements when he mentioned China's expansion and the US current stunted growth. He's got a point.

The next president must have a broader strategic vision.

But... McCain <> Bush (<> = "does not equal"). That's just a cop out by liberals.

Isnt that the way it always is. :lol

Yes and that's what makes arguing politics so retarded at times. Most people don't and won't see past how THEY feel on an issue. Instead of seeing that we all have opinions, both sides are convinced that the other side is flat out wrong and neither side will bend.

Of course the Libs want to use McCain = Bush. Most people hate Bush so paint McCain as another Bush even if it's not fact.

For the record, I'd do McCain's wife. I don't care how old she is, she's hot for whatever her age is.

You mean MSNBC Hardball? The news agency that is part of the Obama campaign staff? Nuff said.

Oh, yah every time I watch hardball they always put down McCain, never know that they are part off Obama campaign staff. Noticed how McCain was getting under Obama skin. And all Obama could say is "thats not true".

What's up with all the makeup on Tom Brokow? Looks like a cow crapped onhis face and they haphazzardly wiped it away prior to going live.

F' it just let the KURGAN run the nation

I want to thank everyone for keeping this thread unlocked through the debate. Mods didn't even need to step in once.

I'd give this debate to McCain. I don't like either candidate but at some point Obama is going to have to stop his round about talk and have something of substance to say. I only give it to McCain for foreign policy talk which even that wasn't great. Both blew chunks on the economy.

In all honesty I would not hold my breath waiting for it. He's running an entire campaign on "hope and change" and little else. He's hoping that the nations hate for Bush will propel him to office as long as he keeps painting Mccain as another Bush. Obama has very little to actually say and that's been proven by his entire campaign and tonights debate. It's all about "Bush is bad and I want to con peopel into believing that you're the same".

If Obama put his real beliefes and VERY liberal views out there then he knows he'd sink himself.

.....Ok and McCain running on what agian.....I was a POW way back when so i'll make a good president......Give me a break.

McCain has agreed with Bush(who maybe the worst president ever) 90% of the time.

NOt a clear victory, but I agree... big surprise, right? McCain lacks Obama's charisma, but he still knows what he's talking about. Obama is a very convincing person if you take everything he says at face value. Obama seemed to agree and add on to what McCain had already setup. I Can't wait to see and read the "official" media reviews of the results.

I don't like McCain either so please don't assume I tow a party line like you do. I am voting for the lesser of two evils here and that sure as hell isn't Obama. I am just stating a fact about the type of campaign that Nobama is running.

I'm a registered Republican....so i'm not towing the party line.

i thought it was a good (not great) debate by both. obama had poise no doubt, which is a good thing to a point & john mccain seemed to show a bit more passion..also a good thing. but i can guarantee you that the obama team will not have him saying "john is right" at the next debate. i probably would have it tipped it to barrack but with that statement he seemed to concede multiple times that john was beating him to the punch. A definite NO NO in debate. the next debate should be very interesting to say the least. don't you know both teams are just chewing up and digesting every lil' nuance of the playback. buckle up america........were in for a wild ride/campaign.

many registered voters change sides or actually register as the side they hate just so they can vote in a primary for who they feel is the weaker candidate. Not saying that's you, but it does happen. I actually know a coupld of "registered republicans" who are liberals and they registered as Rep's just to vote in the primary elections for the weaker candidate.
