Ain't it grand that the "compassionate" left can ridicule and mock John McCain's age, yet if you bring up anything about Obama's background or associations you are immediately labeled a racist. :rolleyes:

i never understood their slamming his age since a large chunk of voters are elderly...i guess they think they have those votes tied up and can insult them.

I think NBC had to report that Kennedy was home. Otherwise people would wonder why they weren't covering it.

As best I can decipher, Ike's handwriting reads:

I'd never heard this story before tonight. Question is, is this generally understood to be a resignation? The linked introductory article doesn't say so...:confused: I will defer to better students of history...
 
I just watched some clips. Obama has no balls whatsoever.

And McCain acted like an jerk. So, ya know.

I listened on the radio so I didn't actually watch them. It just seemed like McCain was able to articulate a bit better what he wanted to do.
 
I'd probably lose my cool as well....he acted as though Obama wasnt even in the room....eh.
 
I think he just kept his cool better than Obama. How many more times will they get to do this? Is it two more times?

4 times total: you just witnessed one, two more time for presidential Obama:McCain, and a single event for Biden:palin

the next debate will be very different from tonight's "feeling out process" :google..:lol.

tweaks galore in store from both camps........i wouldnt be surprised if they both come off looking as 2 totally different people at the next debate.......physical looks aside anyway.... :D

I think neither of them could be said to have "lost his cool."

I thought McCain got off to a slow start and was subdued at the beginning, but later began to really enjoy the debate. But he falls back on talking points -- every time he repeats something like "most liberal voting record in the Senate" it loses a little zing. It also doesn't work as well when the other guy is standing right there refuting it. Obama struck me as consistent throughout, but he seems to want to de-personalize the confrontation. He stuck to ideas, while McCain colored his points with stories. Obama seemed really loathe to go after McCain. The one time he did, with that litany of McCain errors, it just seemed tit-for-tat with McCain's own list of Obama judgement errors. I really wonder whether any minds were changed.

For anyone not watching MSNBC, you're missing Pat Buchanan, the funniest yet maybe most penetrating analyst not on Comedy Central. He always wants more blood on the ground.

Next up: Palin-Biden. Going to be fun, but won't change a single vote. It's "just" the veep debate.

either that or haha he didnt look at him because well i for sure couldnt look god in the eyes either..i mean he just as to much power for one man. :rotfl
