No, that is incorrect. I am talking about desirability.

To answer the question... yes, because there is less of a certain piece, it will be more desirable.

You're retarded if you put people and statues on the same level.

You know, if a company can't move very many of a specific statue at a certain price, it doesn't make sense to make any more than you can sell, predetermined es number be damned. It would be interesting if they said they'd make 350, but actually made 100, because they couldn't sell more than that, and they never told anyone that they only ended up making 100. Maybe only 100 people will actually buy 1, so they could stop at 100, making it a 100 es, but no one knows that, however they don't want to buy it because they THINK it's 350. It's purely hypothetical, but it illustrates how fickle many collectors can be.

Secretly under-produce statues to piss off collectors and sell less than you have allowed yourself to as a company.

They should have been able to see the cancellations a mile away. There is absolutely no way that everyone will keep their pre-orders. This will be in their warehouse for a looooooooooooong time and hopefully they'll learn something from this.

Amen brother. Mine will be canceled before time to ship. Poor business move SS. Learn.

You still have that popcorn ready?

You could compare them to women, or cars, or books, or anything else there is. Just because there is less of something doesn't make it a better thing.

I gotta stop you right here man. Watch what happens during closing time at a bar. Less of something = more desirable of what's left. Sadly.... but it's true

As you can see, I've learned my lesson, no arguments from me.

I just sit, read and learned....

That point against me was enough to last a few decades thank you very much.

:banghead:duh

I just got my first infraction yesterday. Welcome to the club. I don't want another. Cheers :duff

He Mesa...Go Cards!! That was one hell of a game!!

Thanks. Yes, yes it was. I have no voice left, seriously. Cardinals/Pittsburg in two weeks. Who would have thought Cardinals made it there... certainly not me.

Honestly, I give Cards at least a 50/50 shot to beat Pittsburgh. they have been playing AWESOME these past three weeks.

yeah go cards!!!!!!
i'm not a true fan, i mostly cheering for old Kurt Warner, gotta love them old guys that get tossed around the league and they get one more shot.

Saw The FS Abomination by Bowen at my LCS today...great piece too.

Yeah baby! I'm rooting for Cardinals too...got to root for my secondary place in AZ! I hope they win the big one...if Larry Fitzgerald and Kurt can play like they did today, then they can beat Pitts. :chew In Las Vegas, it seems the Cardinal is a +7 points underdog...sounds like a good bet...and take the over :) And then take the winning money and buy more statues for free on me :)

In my hypothetical situation, the collectors wouldn't be pissed because they wouldn't KNOW. Unless you count every single statue in one place, how do you REALLY know how many were produced, anyway?

What are they going to learn? They can't take orders and then tell people they can't have them, so I suppose you mean they should simply take fewer orders. How will they know how many to make, without orders taken in advance? They stopped taking orders 4 hours or so after it went up for order. That isn't very long. So all of the people who ordered that 350 who want to cancel now because it's too high an ES didn't really want to order one of these just to own. THEY only wanted one if it was 150 or less, because THEY wanted to be one of the 150 who had one, as opposed to everyone else who did not. According to you, it would have been ok if it would have been 100 or so, because YOU ASSUMED that YOU would be one of the 100, which is probably what 340 of the people who ordered thought. So you want a low ES , like the rest of the 350 who wanted a low es, yet it was all 350 of you who caused the es to be so high with YOUR orders. How ironic. If you REALLY wanted the es to be lower, maybe YOU shouldn't have ordered one. How about that? How is Sideshow supposed to know how popular the character is without taking orders to determine this? Perhaps you should loan them your crystal ball. All of you people who order this and then don't want to have it anymore simply because you all ordered it and caused them to make so many and hence the es is "TOO HIGH" for you, which is basically your fault are really being unfair to Sideshow collectibles. That is rather unfair to the company, dontcha think? Egotistical entitlement.
