The 250$ price tag I predict is for the reg Edition....Still,the Ex will be wayyy lower on the bay than buying it from Sideshow

Something tells me that the Great Worm is onto something. I think this will be plentiful on eBay at first so I canceled mine and will play the odds on the secondary market. With an ES so high I really think it won't be a problem to find.

All the cancelling should show Blackthorneone about the perils of making an item too available.. Interest wanes and it becomes a burden for the companies to move.. The people that do pay retail watch their item become worth less than what they paid..

I was trying to say this too, but you worded it perfectly.

My post was going to say "ES is too high" but that's not the case, as 350 isn't that many. But for this price point, the supply will exceed demand, and these will be readily available.

Exactly! The ES is low, but ES should be relative to THE PRICE. People who say the ES doesnt matter is kidding themselves when the company will charge you $500 for something that has an ES of 10,000 (for example). For a character like Abom who isnt very popular, 350 would have been fine at a price of $325.

I say let them buy it then. Myself and anyone who is smart will wait and get it for half price down the road on Ebay.

So no one wants to buy a $500 statue of Abomination unless it is super rare? JUST because something is rare doesn't mean it is desirable. I wouldn't find unattractive women any more attractive just because they were rare compared to beautiful women. I wouldn't find beautiful women any less attractive simply because they were plentiful. I don't see why collectibles would be any different.

No, he's just saying that noone will pay that unless it's necessary. It's still desirable, but not at that price. The market will determine the price in the end.

You know, if a company can't move very many of a specific statue at a certain price, it doesn't make sense to make any more than you can sell, predetermined es number be damned. It would be interesting if they said they'd make 350, but actually made 100, because they couldn't sell more than that, and they never told anyone that they only ended up making 100. Maybe only 100 people will actually buy 1, so they could stop at 100, making it a 100 es, but no one knows that, however they don't want to buy it because they THINK it's 350. It's purely hypothetical, but it illustrates how fickle many collectors can be.

They should have been able to see the cancellations a mile away. There is absolutely no way that everyone will keep their pre-orders. This will be in their warehouse for a looooooooooooong time and hopefully they'll learn something from this.
