Thanks It's actually over concerns about kids getting hold of the batteries and swallowing them (or getting stuck in their throats). So surely all PRIME has to do is change the battery casing so that it has a screw (or screws) that need to be removed to get at the batteries? Besides - kids are more likely to go for the statues than the batteries! This may be a sensible step for smaller items & toys, but I still think this is ridiculous (and easily fixed) for the collectibles that PRIME1, Sideshow et-al produce.

Spot on. No idea why they'd rather loose tens of thousands, if not 100K+ in potential sales over just changing the damn battery hatch. Literally a few dollars if that in costs it'd take to fix this problem. Prime 1 being Prime 1 again as usual.

I asked Popcultcha about the new button battery law, and they said certain items on their website will say in the ''speech bubble'' for the listing of the item ''INT SALES ONLY'' [or international sales only], so some prime 1 studios items may end up being listed like that.......

So I admit I'm a complete d**k, I ordered the incredibly overpriced little closed mouth bust for the 1/3 that I've complained about the price of so much. I figured I love that head and the 1/3 will be my centrepiece so I wanted the complete thing. I have no desire to order their 1/3 City Hunter thankfully, so they can begrudgingly have my money for the bust. Just FYI, I jumped on the wait list a while ago, it converted and charged before I even knew about it, so if you do ever join a P1 wait list, make sure that you definitely want to commit to buying the item. I maintain that this bust is insanely overpriced, and that the very quick sell out was very much not genuine.

No judgment. I placed my order for the bust with Sugo and freaked out a little when they started cancelling Australian orders (I thought Prime 1 wouldn't ship to them even as a distributor). The statue was a buy even before the bust was announced, but now that this portrait exists, I can't imagine not having it.

Even if the full statue turns out like crap, the bust sculpt is too good not to keep for repainting.

For P1 waitlists, join and change your PayPal settings to turn off auto payments to their site. It will trigger an error for P1 and they'll reach out to you via email to correct.

Hey Matt mate (is it me , or does that sound like one of those late 70's ads for a vinyl record vacuum?)

While I understand the pre-emptive self-deprecating admission post, it's YOUR money, and YOU want it - game over.

I STILL think the entire statue looks like he's been in the washing machine and needs stretching or something, but even I have to admit that head sculpt looks great (still not sure about the googly eyes though).

Now if they were FAIRLY priced and shipping didn't demand the sacrifice of our firstborn, and we could guarantee QC from PRIME1 - well - we'd have a winner on the bust at least.

The best I can hope for at this point is that ALL of you that have placed your faith in PRIME1 are happy with what you receive given the costs involved.

No judgment here, I honestly have thought about doing the same damn thing. The full P2 is completely off the table (although it never really was part of the plan anyway), but the P1/P2 bust combos are serious contenders for me.

I'd have reserved a P2 bust already if they offered the darn thing in a masked variant. I don't get it. They pull out all the stops to create a souped-up $5K P2 package, but release only one portrait as a bust. I thought they were trying to max out profits with these. Or is it because the full statue didn't get enough orders so it makes less sense to manufacture additional heads?

I like the closed mouth bust, but I REALLY want P1 to stop price gouging. It will never stop at this rate, so decided a while back to skip the bust. I'm happy for those who will get the complete "shabang" though, and can't wait to see your pix.

I was amoung those who were very vocal against the crazy pricing too, so I basically have to die on this hill.
Seriously fighting the urge to buy at least the standard P2 though.
