I'm still on the fence with this guy. I mean I love it, but P1 has really crapped on me as far as quality lately. I have $1400 in points with them, so I'm debating on just picking up the base one as I will only be out about $1,100 plus shipping. They still have the edition size open, so I feel like I still have time to decide...but ugh, I just don't know...

For that price, this is a no brainer. Although it probably makes sense to wait and see, we can be your guinea pigs. If they get this one right, it'll be a really special statue!

These aren't open ES Dundee, they just haven't set the ES yet. Although I suspect there is a bit of confusion over the DX and DX bonus, I doubt there will be 999 of the DX bonus version alone. I imagine that is a combined ES for both DX versions and I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop a bit given how expensive this is. Prime 1 regularly lower the ES numbers.

The ES is 999 for DXS. Prime 1 then created a different TBA ES for the DX so there seperate lines. We all thought initially they were combined but there not, Prime 1 want to milk this baby for good and have done so in a deceiving way.

You could be right though, this all may backfire somewhat and they end up lowering the ES (I don't think they would for DXS, just the other versions) hence why they drag out the TBA until production, to get as many buyers as possible.

Oh sure, I know they have listed it as that, but it has to be a mistake. That ES is surely for the DX in general (And I still think it will drop significantly, closer to release) The bonus versions will likely just come out of that. Prime 1 sure do like to overcomplicate things though don't they.

Sep - Dec this year is still the listed date. This was listed when all of the Covid stuff seemed even grimmer than it does now, so it shouldn't really affect their plans, but who knows. I still expect a delay on this one either way.

You never know, they might win you over... I don't like a lot of what P1 are doing lately as a company. But they sure do make some great products when they want to. Just look at their Big chap (Shipping issues aside) I managed to grab one last week, although it's cost me about £2.5k so maybe I won't be getting the P2 either now.. I know I'll definitely want it if it's made to the same standard as their 1/3 JH though, errrgh...

Probably kitbashed from the Falcon itself, or they both used the same source.
It's common in the industry because the general audience would never really know.

You should see the list of how many times Michael Bay has reused stuff. He even went as far as to reuse scenes from a previous shot.... during the same movie.

To be honest I spotted it quickly 'cause I am kitbashing my MF and have spent a lot of time looking for kit parts. Maybe this explains the high price for the statue since two diff licenses were required.. haha

But seriously it feels like a weight was lifted. It was just too big and cost too much for a character that is not my all time fav.

Plus

1. I love my 1/4 jungle hunter by P1 and still think it has the superior pose.
2. I am a little annoyed with P1 and the crap they pulled with big chap and changing the color on the 1/4 to drag people to the 1/3
3. Where the hell will I display it lol

It looks great and I will regret it after in hand pics but I will just have to admire from afar

If the 1/4 JH was never made I would keep this order and make it fit somewhere. But I’m good.

After market prices had me think about keeping it. Not wanting to pay more later if I loved it.

But after the alien packaging debacle I am also worried about not living it and trying to sell and ship later.

I forgot to mention the closed mouth bust being an annoyance also with its ridiculous price. It’s one of the things I was looking most forward to and the 1000.00 price was a kick to the nuts.

I’ve been thinking of cancelling for awhile but did not have the guts due to the FOMO. But like I said, as soon as I cancelled a weight was lifted.
