Im afraid to make that jump to 1/3 scale but prime1 is really killing it with beautiful pieces such as this.I might just get one prime 1 bats and I think this video convinced me for noel.

It's worth it for a piece you really fall in love with, and the size difference compared to 1/4 really isn't too crazy, mostly the height.
This will be my first 1/3 and my only one for a while, until P1 tops it in my eyes. But it was impossible to pass on this, too good.

1:3 pieces should be for a select few characters that the buyers like as characters and are attached to... Whoever picks all of them up thinking to stack them like 1/4 pieces are fooling themself and will regret once they start running out of space

The EX is awesome. Will have to decide with the statue in-hand if I go for clenched teeth or the EX portrait.

One thing I noticed, seeing this in person for the first time, is that there's no black on this piece. It's all varying shades of gray.

Do you think that is a good thing or a bad thing?? It's actually been a concern of mine.. That it may look a little bland.

For me, it's a negative. I cancelled mine when it was delayed, and seeing it in person today, I'm ok with that decision. Maybe it's an unfair comparison, but the FM Bats puts every other Batman statue at the Sideshow booth to shame.

I'm still happy with my decision, I can't stand Frank Miller's aesthetic (blasphemy I know, I just really dislike his style) and it seems like the Jim Lee Batman will be the blue version according to rumors, so Batman Noël is definitely the one for me.
This lighting makes the statue look a bit different in terms of colors, or maybe it's not the prototype this time so there are variations. Still love it though.

FM Bat looks like it jumped out of the comic. Best Batman statue for now IMO

I can definitely understand liking FM Bats better but actually the shades are extremely close based on Zod's pics:

Looking at the pics again, the FM Bats doesn't have any deep blacks either, it's all super dark greys, the main difference being that the cowl has a very matte finish so it doesn't reflect the light as much and therefore appears darker. But you can tell on the gauntlets and boots that they used very similar shades for both statues, but Noel has a bit more gloss.
Of course the yellow belt provides some major contrast and therefore a bit more life when it comes to colors.

That being said, I do think that a deep black would have looked better in certain areas like the chest plate for example. I think on both statues the choice of a very dark grey instead of a true black is meant to show wear and dirt.

The bat symbol needs to be darker than everything else on his suit. It's this way in the comic so it really should be changed. Not a huge deal, easily fixable but it should be this way to begin with.

I agree, it was pointed out a long time ago on this thread and I don't understand why Prime 1 never changed it. Pretty obvious when you look at the original.

Just took out the comic to look and the symbol is like jet black and even a little bit shinny. Why would they ignore something so major on his costume?

Yeah... I think it was never pointed out to them and the statue was designed such a long time ago, they never went back to the original artwork to see if they missed anything I guess.

It should be dark black or at least darker then the rest of the cowl.

Still love it and will be keeping my order.
