Here is some better pictures of my base (all sides). The marks show more due to the flash with no flash they are not as noticeable. To be honest i can deal with that base i just want the body and head changed so i can have a piece that i can enjoy.
Base doesn't look all that bad honestly. I'd get some high quality car polish and go over it. You probably wouldn't be able to see any flaws on it then. I wouldn't accept the flaws on the body, however....especially the defect on the Bat symbol.
I sent popcultcha message telling them i now want a full replacement (not my shipping costs) not a refund because it is a non fixable issue. I gave prime 1 a chance to fix this they said no ( i even messaged them myself on FB). I dont find it acceptable for a $3300aud piece to have such a bad defect if prime 1 has an issue i will take it up with Australian fair trading. Gave them a chance to fix the body at the very least they might think its a minor defect its not minor to me a small hole on the bat symbol is a deal breaker for me. Companies don't understand this is not a statue worth a couple of hundred dollars its over 3kaud or 2kus its unacceptable and not unreasonable to want a product without defects.
In the end Prime 1 won't be the one to rectify this for you, it'll be Popcultcha. But because of the cost of the item, I know they'll probably won't be inclined to do a replacement, unless they swap it with the one that they have been taking to the various Australian conventions.
Unfortunately getting replacements out of companies other than Sideshow is like pulling teeth, and all the way to next to impossible to accomplish.
These is rules in Australia for faulty products just because Prime 1 finds it acceptable it does not mean it is. If Popcultcha has to do the replacement then the body replacement is fine it's not their fault the piece is faulty. But at the end of the day i am not displaying a piece with a black hole on the badge it is not good enough for my standards for a $3300aud retail piece. Popcultcha needs to deal with Prime 1 here they know the law here and how us consumers are protected and they still deal with them. They can always stop dealing with them if they are losing money due to warranty issues.
I know we have our consumer protection laws here in Australia, but I'm wondering how they would apply to statues? If they were electronics or actual toys I can see how it would apply, but on so called artistic pieces where variations do occur I'm not sure the protection is as strong unless the product is actually broken.
And for some reason I thought that your shield had some sort of brown stain on it and not a hole?
But if you're not happy, then you're not happy. Hopefully it gets remedied to your satisfaction.
It was on sale at the same discount in early June as well and I almost bought it. I told myself I would get it if the sale popped up again, but I still have no space. I have 30 hot toys figures I need to sell and some 1/4 statues as well before I can plop this in a room that's already crowded. I love Prime 1 products.
This Batman has received a huge discount today with this exclusive code: AUG15SAVE
https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/?code=aug15save
It looks like Sideshow pulled all Prime 1 pieces off of that sale.
