My guess is they won't come attached to the body, so the real question is are there going to be noticeable holes or will they be hidden behind the body of the statue assuming you don't want to attach the tentacles on the upper back.

They are removable but there is a hole there, so unless you display him at a top shelf at a high angle, you'll see them.

If there's a hole, I'll consider filling a few and painting over them to cut them down.
