Just so that person doesn't feel alone, I thought the red portion of the tongue looked weird as translucent. I loved the translucent saliva, but I never imagine the character with a translucent tongue and it doesn't make sense to me. So I'm in the boat of finding that a drawback on what is otherwise and awesome statue, and almost a tie with XM as my favorite.

The visible waist joint kills this. I suppose the neck joint will also be visible. They ruined it.

Is it really that bad? I tried to look for it in the video and didn't really see it.

Please post it because I haven't seen it once.

Also, just because the prototype may be done in multiple pieces doesn't mean the final statue will be. Example - I saw the exact same thing with the XM Hulk. I found pictures online of a man carrying half his body, and I was nervous about it being two pieces as well. When I received the statue from BBTS, he was all one solid piece.

As you can see I'm just not a fan of the SSC release, the body look odd, the pose looks silly. As for XM which I have ordered and Prime (which I may also order) they are both excellent pieces imo. The only thing with the Prime version is that it looks way to clutered with all the tenticles. The tongue looks good though and the complaints about his lower body proportions are most likely over reaction...

Looks like tentacles are removable anyways... Just may have to do some fill in for the holes... You can see one on his right arm. Hell to save some money I could live with the holes... But I like the Tentacles.. Only reason I would remove them is to put the item higher up on a shelf... And then I would not be able to see the holes anyways.
