Did you read my post?

True, the armored body has wrist pegs similar to Hot Toys. But the Prometheus has the same phallic pin joint that makes it almost impossible to swap hands without heating them up first. I am glad to see it will probably be concealed with a ball socket wrist-hand interface.

I agree with you that the mushroom pegs are better for keeping the hands on.

My favorite wrist design is BBi, that ACE has also borrowed. The hand stays attached to the round wrist joint, and the entire wrist comes out of the forearm on a long peg. You can switch hands easily, but they are also sturdy and don't ever fall out on their own.

The neck joint will be backward compatible. Just like the HT true Type bodies, it will have interchangeable neck joints to accommodate all Sideshow heads.

Where has that been said? Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding? The old Buckheads have a sculpted neck and the Pro being used on Indy does not. I don't think they'll include an adaptor to make the neck backwards compatible?

Yeah, as of now that is just speculation. The last I heard, Sideshow does not currently have plans to make these bodies available loose.

Until we get Indy, or higher resolution shots of Prometheus, it's just speculation what the wrist pin is like on Prometheus. I think it's going to end up being the same ball joint HT's now using, they're probably sharing the molds and maybe even the factory, but HT is using a newer ball joint on the wrists that has a smaller pin, similar looking to Sideshow but really easy to swap hands on, at least I've had no issue with Will Turner. The real trick is not the pin but the hand material itself. The early SSC Star Wars figures had very soft hand that would stay on but change out very easily. Recently they've been stiffer and less flexible taking the pin into the sockets which is a pain. Hot Toys now has realistic looking hands like Sideshow but still in the softer rubber like they've always had, that's the way to go.

I hadn't heard that either, I remember either in a productin blog, or maybe during chat that the old heads would not be compatible with the prometheus.

Althoug I think that some heads might still have a specifically sculpted neck, and others would be like Indy.

When The man with no pants was in the chat around toy fair time, I asked him a few questions about the prometheus and the plans invovling it. He said that As a company Sideshow toys is allways seeking new profit margins with their products, so while ther are no IOmmeadiate plans for offering the prometheus separately, those of us wanting to swap our older figures to the new bodies should staart saving some money if we want to swap Our ENTIRE colection over.
In addition, whe n I asked about the heads, he did say that there was posable to use an adapter to make them fit the newer body.
What he was NOt clear on was wheither we would need an aftermarket adapter, or if SSC would make their own adapter, Or if the Hot toys one would even work.

I'll make him Articulated myself if i must, but Sideshow, Please make an articulated yoda, Here's a pic someone made on the rebelscum forums, showing a possible idea, I'd prefer a prometheus styled neck, but this would be proper proportions for a yoda body, but perhaps a bit thinner?

For me, a fixed pose yoda, like Crumb is the worst case scenario, i'm sure several of you agree. But it that's what we ger, Like I said, I'll articulate him myself.

Wow, who photoshopped that? I want to see a photoshopped C-3PO body (black armored body, but even skinnier) to fit a gold suit.

I just received my Indiana Jones, my first 12" on a 'prometheus' body. The neck is loose as hell, and the legs are pretty loose too. So much for prometheus. I hope it's only a sort of childhood illness, and that the next 12" figures with the prometheus won't have those problems anymore...
