That or they won't do Yoda.

That's crazy talk!

They could make atleast 3 Yodas. So a new body should even out. OT Yoda, AOTC/ROTS Yoda and maybe TPM Yoda. But I don't know who'd want that one. :monkey1

Best thing with Yoda is he has clothes, so articulation would be covered up. I wouldn't mind a less articulated OT Yoda, but it's best to make one fully articulated body and use it on both.

I'm ok with a VCD style ATOC yoda, AS LONG AS he's got his lightsaber, an articulated neck, and a cloth costume.
I say this becuase I'll just get a hasbro figure, or a microman, or a gi joe and cannabalize it for the body, and make my own super articulated ATOC yoda.

Having said that, they could very eaisly scale down the body one more time, and do it modular just like the other ones. ugnaughts and jawas are smaller than the hobbits, and would need a smaller body, just as yoda would. having donme that, there are also 3-4 possible variations on yoda that could be done. all this together could very eaisly = yoda being made fairly poseable, as there wouldbe several thousaand of these smaller bodsies being used for these diferent figures.
Sideshow, please make a 1/6 articulated yoda.

If all that fails, i'll get a medi vcd yoda and custom the hell out of it.

When they do Yoda I expect it will be fully molded like Crumb.

That would be tragic.

Salacious spend 95% of his screen time sitting, but Yoda sits and stands even in Empire.

Maybe not super, but Yoda should at least be articulated to some degree, and if Medicom could do it, so can Sideshow-HT.

A PT Yoda definitely needs articulation.

I know. I don't want that to be true at all. I want Yoda from the PT. So I can pose him in his cool PT poses.

I think Gollum would be the most troublesome out of the lot since he doesn't wear any clothes... he'd have to be a completely unique body. And my guess is fans won't be willing to dish out the cash for that one.

Yoda would be more doable since he's a clothed character. And you have the reusability (if modular as well) across all the very small characters.

Gollum should be done with interchangeable parts, such as arms, hands, and legs in a variety of poses and gestures. He can also come with a few portraits having different expressions. That way, he can maintain a good array of display options without sacrificing the asthetics of his bare skin to ugly articulation. Legs sitting or standing, arms outstreched or withdrawn, hands grasping or holding, etc. There's no costuming (only a loincloth) and accessories can be few, just a fish or something. It's simple, nothing fancy, and can be done similarly to a creature pack. I think that would be a great, easy way to get us a Gollum without any real need for a whole new body. It's just sculpted parts, just like any of the other creatures, only with interchangeable limbs. The exclusive could be an extra portrait.

Might be crazy, but it could work.

Both Gollum/Smeagol and Master Yoda present their own set of problems, but they are such essential characters that neither line will be complete without them. I really hope Sideshow works it all out, 'cause I suppose a lot of LOTR and SW collectors are expecting to get these figures in some form or other.

They could use Yoda's articulated body for Ewoks. Or at least Wicket? I imagine an articulated skeleton with a padded suit to go over it. It could be a jumpsuit like Jedi Luke's, except open from the back.

I like Cap's modular idea for Gollum/Smeagol but not for Yoda. There's really no reason not to make poseable Yodas, they could use the body for Wicket, Nick Nack, small Jawas, and even the Time Bandits. They should just ask Hasbro to make a special 3" blank hyper articulated body for them.
For me, it would be a huge disappointment to not get an articulated Yoda.

I saw a custom a few years back in which someone used (I think the Gollum) super articulated body to make a custom Yoda. I think there was some heavy modification but with the cloaks you couldn't tell the difference. Looked pretty good.

That would be interesting if they could look to Hasbro for a small articulated stock body.

Yeah I thought it was Customikey that did that to the Medicom figure using a Microman body?
There's alway a way to fix the body, I just wish we didn't have to do it.
