LOL. This thread reminds me of the HD DVD vs Blu Ray War thread that got deleted.

Wonder if there were stakeholder similarities...

PS4 is cheaper and more powerful? I don't know how X1 is going to keep up with sales.

Good thing my roommate is getting both so I don't have to!

I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft scrapped the whole aways on, mandatory kinect and trading games stance after the hellstorm of negativity it's brought down upon them.

I can't believe MS would even consider all those restrictions without thinking Sony would do the same? It's absolutely astounding they would even think it would be a good idea.

The problem is they feel they can get away with these restrictions, and they just might, since many gamers and parents are clueless to this all, or don't care about it, like all the CoD and Halo fanboys. We'll see I guess.

MS even said, if you can't go online for the mandatory check, for example if you live on a submarine, you're screwed, go buy a 360 instead. Proving they don't give a crap about millions of their current fans, as long as they retain the ones always on Live.

A part of me can't believe he used the submarine analogy since it seems insulting and disrespectful to their huge military fanbase who enjoy Halo LAN along with online multiplayer, but I guess this is what the MS fanboys like to hear: https://www.playstationlifestyle.ne...lear-submarine-and-have-no-internet-get-a-360

If they did in fact say this actual quote, they pretty much secured that I will not ever buy their console. Rich people with their entitlements........

I am on the fence about these new systems-

I have a 360 and a ps3 right now - bought them around the same time, however my 360's fans went and gave me the red light of death and have been a plague ever since.

Ps3 is still going strong.

So maybe Ill just get a ps4 and purchase a nice collectible instead of xbox one - works for me:hi5:

Here's his quote, I just summarized it:

"If you have zero access, [the 360] is an offline device. I mean, when I read the blogs and thought about who really is the most impacted, there was a person who said ‘hey, I’m on a nuclear sub’ – and I don’t even know what it means to be on a nuclear sub [grins] – but I imagine it’s not easy to get an internet connection. I can empathize, if I was on a sub, I’d be disappointed."

The guy who said he was on a sub was obviously a military guy. It's a fact those submarine guys love to compete with multiplayer games, which everyone knows. So if you can't meet the restrictions, it's your problem, and they don't want your business anymore, or just stick with the aging 360. He can "empathize", which means he doesn't really give a ****.

And why exactly are you on the fence?? It seems like a no brainer to me.
