i got LBP and infamous and the others aren't mainstream titles
Wipeout is pretty great, and I'd call it mainstream. It's a pretty good value too considering you get the added DLC pack. Too bad SuperStardust HD isn't available in the UK, because that would be my second recommendation. How 'bout Ratchet and Clank?

Dead Nation and Super Stardust HD for me. 
Well since they love the UK more and are giving them the dang Ratchet and Clank...I do not have a second game to download. I did youtube searches for actual gameplay of all the games. I will def get Infamous but wtf, the other ones? Really? What's with the sky view of that dead one? And the Stardust and the car racing one seem like they were made in the 80's, lol. Anyways...I'll still download 2 because they're free and I have a 320g harddrive. But doesn't mean I'm not sour that we didn't get R&C. I guess beggers can't be choosers.

I'm still debating what to get. I have inFamous but that game was crap so I wouldn't have gotten it even if I didn't already have it. I like zombies and I may get Wipeout.

You should check out Little Big Planet if you dont have it already.
This may be redundant, but I applied the new update bringing the PSN back up last night, and my Netflix is working again. But I couldn't connect to the store for my freebies (probably WipeOut and LBP for me). It said the store was down for maintenance. Is there anything specific I have to do? Or was I just early?

Both Dead Nation and Super Stardust HD are top-down shooters using dual analog-stick control, like Geometry Wars or Robotron.
Other than Little Big Planet and InFamous, the rest of the games being offered were downloads from the PSN Store. That's why they don't look nearly as polished as those two retail release games.
Basically, this is a chance for people to get two very popular retail games, or some decent downloadable ones if they already own them.
And I second Kain's recommendation of Little Big Planet for anyone who doesn't already own a copy. It really is a must-get.

I don't know much about Dead Nation, but I can tell you that everything else on the list is worthy of being called AAA. Made in the 80's BG?
There are demos for all those games, so once PSN is back up, you can try before you "buy".
But seriously, get LBP. Even if you were planning on getting LBP2, because there is all sorts of content in LBP that you can't get in LBP2 unless you unlock in LBP.

I feel your pain...I just picked up the collector's edition of Tron Evolution, which includes some codes for bonus DLC and I can't get it until the store comes back up.
Yeah, it'll probably be another couple of weeks before we see some progress on that front.
