This is ugly. I suppose when the PSN network goes back up I will buy those PSN cards at the store so I don't use my credit card with them again. I guess its a bit of a closing the gate after the horse leaving the barn.
Does anyone think this has the potential of ruining Sony? I love my PS3 but this definitely has me nervous.

Sorry to hear about the credit card and email problems that some of you have been experiencing. Fortunately, everything's A-Ok with me (besides the PSN being down, of course). Hope this all clears up soon.

All I have to say is I'm tired of not being able to get into multiplayer, and do not much care for people telling me to relax as psn is free. To me, it isn't free. I paid for my system ($400) And each game I spend $60 bucks on and then pay extra for dlc, etc, shows me that it's not free.

BUT, since the shutdown, I have gone back to get my platinum trophy by beating Uncharted 1 on crushing mode and am currently beating Tomb Raider Underworld on it's hardest mode (which is so easy I can't believe it) and getting all of my remaining treasures and relics. That's the only plus.

Whats so funny to me about this is that My wife purchased me a PS3 about 2 months ago after we got the dreaded Red Lights of Death on the ol Elite 360. We had killzone 3 for it that came with the system but I only played the campaign. About week and half ago after my friend begging me for a straight month to pick up COD Black ops to play Death Matches with him on the PSN. Picked the game up and I got to play a few matches, not even with him.....then the network has been down every since. Not a big online gamer like I used to be with Halo 2 & 3 but still kinda irritated.

Anyone know what charges from PSN come across as? I am trying to figure what CC I used but can't find any charges on any of them.

Well, I just canceled my cc's and changed all of my passwords and the like. Can't do anything about bday and addresses though. So that part sucks.

They got away with it?

Makes me think of the retards who blame the American government for letting 9/11 happen.

I'm just sick of reading all of the bogus conspiracy theories concerning this (no need for it on internet forums, I'll just go and look inside of my toilet if I want to see crap). In any case, Sony's going to have a lot of work to do, to rebuild their network into a secure environment for commerce, and to re-establish the lost trust with their customer base. As for the future of the PSN, it does look a little bleak. When the PSN eventually goes online again, it's left to be seen how many people have abandoned their accounts, or made an exodus to XBL...
