Trevor,
You did an amazing job sculpting this. Harrison Ford is such a nightmare to try and capture I'm stunned at what you've been able to achieve. Congrats!!

Trevor did his part Sideshow, its yours to screw up.
Dont let us down!!!

My faith in your talent is rewarded again Trevor.

It's a shame we can't get all our figures made by Trevor. Sideshow products would be all guaranteed sellouts. No more dealing with second chances.

Hopefully seeing this quality work will inspire other Sideshow sculptors to further their own potentials.

I love Trev's work, but I think it's unfair to say that other Sideshow sculptors aren't producing great work. Andy Bergholtz is a amazing Sculptor, Mat Falls has been all over Luke's portrait, Oluf W. Hartvigson's work has been outstand, Tim Miller is silent star with his aliens like Kit Fisto and Bib Fortuna and most recently Frodo for the 1/6 LOTR. I think Trev's one of the best, but all of Sideshow's sculptors have talent.

Yes, true, don't leave out the other super-ultra-extra talented artists, each of whom brings his unique skill and interpretation to the likeness.

Looks perfect. I hope this ends the debate. Trev's work is second to none, and we should all consider ourselves lucky that he is sculpting for SS:rock

:lecture:lecture:lecture:clap... Matt falls and Andy B are my personnal favorite...But all of them can create a Masterpiece at any given time.

SS needs to extend his contract and put a large buyout in his contract so no one can take him away.....if I can use a sports contract analogy.

They just need to keep him happy... and not hide his beautiful work behind thick lead-based Chinese paint.

Ship those guys some nice paints, will ya?

:D

Dont forget Dooley!!! He is one of my personal favs.

I agree that all Sideshow sculptors are talented. There is a reason Kit Fisto is one of my favorites. But I have passed on characters that I had wanted to purchase because of poor likeness.

I am still mystified why Andy's Luke was rejected.

Incredible sculpt. Why doesn't the preview sculpt look like this? It can't just be the paint. Is the casting distorted as well? Can someone make a side by side comparison.

Yeah, the others have rocked as well. SS has done a pretty darn good job on all the figures as well. So I don't think saying just one person doing them is the way to go. Kind of knocks the talent from the other guys who again have done a bang up job.

Unpainted sculpts usually look older because the crease lines are more prominent. Hopefully Andy has an opportunity to get the sculpt painted by his friend.

I am still mystified why Andy's Luke was rejected.

I'd say 98% of the reason was the hair, it was too uncombed looking and really resembled the final duel scenes pretty specifically, despite how great the face was, and the final sculpt we got is pretty neutral and can succeed for any scene you pose him in.

If you look at the preview image, the flesh tones just about all look the same, which means there's less shadow and light contrast highlight the forms so it looks like a solid, distorted mass. Just look how much of the nose shape isn't showing in the preview image. Combine the flooded lighting with eye color that isn't quite fitting for a collectible representation of Harrison Ford, and that's why the greatness of the likeness isn't apparent in the preview image.

I think the PPO image is just another case of the more washed out pics... than indication of the sculpt. And even so it still looks great.
