anyone ever hear of this concoction? it's made from candy like jolly rancher or skittles, watermelon arizona ice tea and cough medicine.

i'm reading a lot of articles saying this is a popular hip hop drug that includes the effects of aggression, paranoia and increased sexual activity.

supposedly autopsy reports are showing that trayvon martin has some liver damage related to taking this cocktail and it just happens that he was walking home form the 7-11 with 2 of the 3 ingredients.

i found this video showing what may be a different view on the zimmerman case. i do not endorse this video, just that it could be another way of looking at it.

Interesting.........

As for your question, I've never heard of it. Kids are always coming up with new highs.

It's called DMX. You can find it all over the internet.

I think it started here in Houston. I've known about for a while and lots of the rap artist from here mention it in their songs. There's even an anti-energy drink here by that name lol

How can they name something LEAN when it's anti-energy? It should be called CHUB.

So they mix this with Robotussin?

I doubt you'll get many comments in this thread though.

There are many people who get very hostile and demeaning when it comes to opinions or viewpoints that are not overtly liberal or considered politically correct. It is unfortunate, but I see this thread getting shut-down quickly.

Its a reference to "leaning back" as it slows you down. Yes any cough syrup will work though. Feels like being drunk, except you feel slowed down some.

All jokes aside, that is an interesting window into "street" subculture. Obviously this is meant as part of the ongoing discussion about the Zimmerman trial and race. While this thread magically stays open, I'll try to throw in a measured response.

If Trayvon had lived he very well might have had plenty to work out. He didn't have to be an harmless angel though for Zimmerman to be responsible for the boy's death. The man brought a gun to a fist fight and fired it into an area of the body packed with vital organs. Ultimately an unarmed kid is dead because he ran into an suspicious adult with a gun. Whether that suspicion was grounded in race or something else doesn't change the end result.

I know nothing about DMX the rapper nor do I want to.

I read all about it, no need to school me.

wasn't schooling you being that i know nothing about either, just correcting you. when i did a search for DMX as you said, the rapper came up. never personally heard of him. did a search for DXM and the cough syrup came up.

yes, most people i've met on the internet are too immature to discuss a serious subject without making it personal. i'm hoping there are still some of those people left here in the forum. sometimes life isn't all about toys and good times with weapons.

Unless Zimmerman physically threatened or attacked Martin, Martin had no excuse for assaulting him. If Zimmerman felt his life was threatened by the beating he was receiving, he had every right to use deadly force in retaliation. Personally, if I am armed and threatened with assault, I will draw on my attacker(s). I don't care if they are unarmed.

Zimmerman didn't kill Trayvon Martin. He just carried the bullet a while.

The was I saw it was that Trayvon had two choices.
He could either continue on and go home (he was really close to getting home)

Or, Follow Zimmerman and jump him. Trayvon chose the second one and walked around the place to find Zimmerman and jump on him and beat his head.

Many, many people say "Zimmerman should have stayed in the car"
And, okay that's fair.
But how come no one ever says "Trayon should have gone home"

Exactly. Zimmerman had every right to get out of the car. It may have been rotten judgment on his part, but he wasn't violating anyone's rights. I live in a very small, rural neighborhood. Last week, my nextdoor neighbors had two cars broken into. After that, if I noticed someone walking around my street late at night, would I be asking to get beat down if I walked up and asked who they were, and why they were there?

The second Martin decided to attack Zimmerman, Martin lost the high ground. What followed was his own fault.
