Or mauled by a dog.

When I lived in New Orleans it was hard to miss the pieces of broken glass people had cemented into the tops of the walls surrounding their yards.

But, that was one of the crime capitals of the country. Not quite Suburban Utopia, CO.

they do this a lot in some parts of south America. I don't think I ever visited a house that did not have a bunch of broken glass all over the place (Around the rooftops, by the gate etc)
Seemed like it was something everyone did everywhere I went

I never hopped any fences. I'm just saying. 14 year old drunk moron isn't going to be thinking. But it all depends on the town. Which I said.

And yes, my town IS a utopia. For adults. :lol....i'm cool with it now, since I am one. But when you're a kid, it's hell.

Also, no broken glass here. All clean and nice. :D

Here, you can see how safe we are. :lol

14 year old drunk morons should learn how to think when their life and limb depends on it. Just sayin'. The need probably isn't as pressing in Castle Rock as it is in Orleans Parish, so there's that. I'd bet that the chances of late night trespassing ending in death are fairly slim.

Right. So yeah. I mean, I admit my opinion on this matter is biased. I'm just a little nervous for my little brother in this little ideology . I've told him...but you know most teens don't listen.

I never personally jumped into anyone's yard. But I did hide behind someone's house once. I wasn't even drunk. But everyone scattered and I had no idea what to do. It gets pretty scary when you're young and clueless.

I'm no angel in this regard. I took a lot of chances as a kid. It is scary, and it's also a rush having to maneuver the dangers that come with being where you're not supposed to be when you're not supposed to be there.

I grew up in rural suburbia. I had no background in which to develop street smarts, but it wasn't hard to figure out once I needed the knowledge. I guess I don't understand what's so hard about understanding that the world is not your backyard, and if you plan to treat it as such, you need to amend your concept of how safe that yard actually is.

I understand that perfectly. Just worried about the dumb kids. And I really hate kids...but it makes me sad when they die like this for being irresponsible . Far more sad then if they died texting, or drinking.

That's why both are against the law. For their own protection.
