What did people think of the exclusives? Could of been better? Really like them?

Watching the series I was struggling to see the original turquoise on Spock; though it was occasionally apparent in McCoy's short sleeve shirt.

To me it looks like the paint app for the head is different. Proto shows awesome detail of skin and spocks make up with the purple shading above the eyes and rosier cheeks whereas the production piece looks bland. No spock colouration. Would like to see better HD pics / close ups. These pixel pics are annoying. Nanjin gave us up close pics throughout the whole process and now the products here there iant any on the site.

I just got used to seeing Nanjins painted spock head and was expecting that level of accuracy with the paint up as it was given in the sculpting.

I hope they make an original series Khan. I'm going for the Kirk exclusive. I haven't gone through the whole thread but I can't imagine that the exclusive will be that limited. Maybe I'll get Spock in the future when and if the rest of the crew is announced.

Ah. I might just go with BBTS if I decide to get these. Should have ordered when they had them for the lower price.

Why is there a photo of half of Zachary Quinto's face with half of Leonard Nimoy's face stuck to it above?

The photos at QMx are of decent resolution, BTW. View in its own window as if you're running the default red (blech) board theme, image sizes are always reduced to the layout's fixed width.

To me, the production sculpts are better than the production paint reference.

I believe you will not going to get any more exclusive after the full introduction.... Remember, I am not dealing with 1/6 fans. My projects are for Star Trek fans, and there are a lot more Star Trek fans than 1/6 ST collectors. I have to stop the exclusive pre-sale within Asia Star Trek fans in less than 2 days. Now, imagine what will happen within the US Trek fans communities. Then think deeper...Sept 9 is Star Trek TOS 50th anniversary. Good Luck if you still think "wait" is a good word to use for the exclusive or even for the regular line.

The exclusives aren't bad but I don't think they're worth an extra $20 each personally. I just don't see really using either item on display and the main figures come with the essential extras you'd want.

I am currently in Romulus territory, and can't reach my friends within FB Trek communities. But I will be back to the Neutral Zone (Hong Kong) in a few days. Then I will start introducing the TOS lines among ALL the Trek communities. Even the Trek uniform cosplay fans are eyeballing these figures....they know how accurate these uniforms except Spock's science blue. After the release of the official pictures, I received 300+ emails complaints about the blue...

Anyway, Good Luck if you still think "wait" is a good word to use for the exclusive or even for the regular line.

I don't know about 1/6 collectors. But as a Trek fan, the harp meant a lot more than just "an item". Then, look carefully on the harp. Try to go make one and see how much you will need to pay (and the time involved). Really, I am merely sharing my point of view as a Trek geek :)

I think I need to let the interest parties know this. The screen is made with 18k gold plated. Took me more than one year to find the source to make them because "plastic cover" is no Trek (it opens with the famous "swing" gesture). Each screen was pressed and done individually with gentle hands. This is the only way to make this. Look at the texturing on the body. Although it can't be seen or felt by human biological sensors, they are there.

Trek doesn't have a lot of accessories, but none of them are taken lightly...or "toy" like the "other guy".
