McCoy's my favourite character from any era of Trek, so personally I can't wait for him to be made.

You realize you're not posting pics of the same fig, right? One is from AOS and the other from TOS

They're different sculpts, why the comparison?

Im talking about the one half which is nimoy obviously which has the awesome paint app. Ofcourse i know the other half isnt nimoy thats why i also posted nimoy full body pics. Just needed a close up of the paint app. Also i know the half which is shown is the fascination sculpt! Still though im refering to the paint app. This was the only close up pic i could find that shows awesome face paint app which the neutrel expression proto also has, just didnt have a close up.

i can see how it might look though..me comparing paint apps then posting a pic like that im trying to compare the two halfs.... which i didnt intend. Just needed a nimoy referral close up

I'm curious what they'll do with McCoy. I'd like to see him in his tunic but they'll likely put him in his standard gear. Probably hypospray, medical scanner, and tricorder as accessories? Excited to say the least.

I was thinking about this yesterday as well. Would be nice if the other shirt came as an extra, so that we could change it (can the shirts be taken off actually?)
Have you seen the 6" prototype with hairy arms?

All versions of Kirk and Spock are showing as sold out at Aaron's Planet Action Figures.

That bodes well for the series.

McCoy should a either that belt pouch for his medical equipment or maybe the black surgeon's case he carried from time to time and not forgetting the ring on his pinkie finger that De Kelley always wore.

Yeah if given the option I'd much rather have McCoy in his medical tunic over the regular shirt, just to let the figure stand out a bit more on the shelf if nothing else. And he did wear it quite a lot on the show, not just while in Sickbay.

I don't think it would be that big a deal. There are plenty of good examples of existing figures where the manufacturer took the time to provide detail on exposed areas such as the upper body. Star Trek is a very special franchise, and it's important that the company producing these figures takes the time to do each one properly.

Absolutes musts on both characters...the big question on some of the female characters is whether or not to go with real hair...something I would vote for with Yeoman Rand.
