Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

I'd love to see some hi-res pics of what was accidentally included in some of the shipments to see what they invented

I'd scan mine, but by the way things are going recently I know it would be instantly deleted and I'd get a ban.

There's bound to be other sources. Anyway, it's quite fun to make up your own.

Quite the setlist

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

- hot toys basic TrueType with the chest and abdomen from the slim body (which is what the obi wan body is)

You'd have to replace the arms too - the last basic, TTM-21, has large biceps.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

I suppose we could invent almost anything. Maybe a page from the 1975 Star Fleet Technical Manual...

The first two illustrations from that scan are on the sheet.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

I have to say of all the 1/6 figures I have the hands on these are so nice to switch out. They come off and on so easily, yet never feel like they are going to just fall off.
Some of mine have shorter holes than the others and tend to fall off more easily. Wonder if I should drill it a bit more?
They feel the same like the Big Chief hands, which can equally easily be changed. But they feel more stiff than the Big Chief hands, which are more rubbery. This is why I did not dare to push the phaser into the official phaser hand. It worked better with Spock's though, so maybe it will loosen up a bit yet.

GREAT JOB! :rock

Great pics Astra! I like this one the most:

Thank you! I already have a new one. Basically, I want to recreate 50 years of Star Trek all at once. Tell me when I am spamming!

Really? Why? I'm not trying to talk you into sharing it, but I don't understand why it would get deleted and you would get banned for sharing it? It's not even an official product of anyone's and was just included by mistake. I guess I don't see how this would break forum rules. Insight for others about this is welcome, I am more curious now about forum rules about this than the scan itself.

Really? The sheet included images for the page of the 1975 technical journal I shared? too funny :lol

First rule of mod club is that you don't talk about mod club!

As previous posts - they were a mistake. Included at the factory. They had certain details on them too. Can't talk about them. :)

Sounds like a Section 31 plot. You didn't hear it from me. I was never here.

Still, there is not exactly any shortage of images you could use. The Star Trek Fact Files have many colour images; I've seen images on the Lightworks.com in the past, plus Deviantart.com probably has a lot of images. There's that graphic of the Romulan Neutral Zone from Balance of Terror and some people have done maps of all four quadrants based on Star Trek Online. A snippet of one of those might look cool.

Yeah I'm curious as hell to see what this infamous (sticker?) sheet is all about. I read something about it when the UK guys started to receive theirs, but when I went back through this thread, nothing.

This my attempt at the Captains Chair. I regret I'm not that great of a detail painter. This will of course only be a stand in until the great QMX hero version is available for sale

Looks great though. I love the idea of disks (or whatever they were called on ST), that would be cool for QMX to include.

Kirk can't decide which 8track to listen to...

Im hoping QMX's chair comes with some of those data cards, one of the little coffee cups they used often (just a basic plastic cup you get from a machine) would be a nice touch too.

I kinda have this idea of having mirror Kirks, but instead of evil Kirk its the Beyond Pine-Kirk with his coffee mug reading his data pad (from the log sequence) on one end of a shelf and the original James T Kirk sat doing the same at the other end. Obvious issue there is while I can see the original Captain's Chair as well as Beyond Kirk coming out (though I also wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it for a fair while) I can't see them producing the chair to go with him.

Really need to get the 3 Iron Men I am planning on selling (if anyone has spotted me talking about it in the Marvel threads I have been saying I would do it for months) sold already and grab one of these Kirk's as every time I check this thread or see a review I can't believe the likeness!

That is a childhood of watching TOS on BBC2's weekly re-runs in figure form right there! God I miss the 80's and 90's when after school involved CBBC followed by a combination of Star Trek, The Simpsons and Robot Wars... Any other UK members remember those days?

I remember rushing home from school for Dungeons & Dragons, Dangermouse & the like. Trek on BBC2 was the highlight except in the summer months when it would be knocked off for cricket & tennis. That used to get me so mad, one hour of Trek a week knocked off for hours & hours of sport.

Friday around 6pm on bbc2 wasn't it.
I had an after school job that I used to rush through, it sometimes didn't quite get completed so I could get back home for Trek.

Looks cool!

As an amateur I struggle with a bit of paint bleed on my 1:350 Enterprise too. You can try masking tape around the edges before you paint or keep a toothpick handy to lightly scrape off any spill over.

Cool I have that model but haven't had the courage to try and build yet - how'd yours go? Love to see it.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm 5 years in and only about half done but that is largely because I decided to light it as well and light blocking is a *****. It's nowhere near as good so far as some of the ones you see online but I hope it's going to passable. It would be amazing to pose the QMX crew in front of the completed version. I need to get cracking!

Yea, I got all the lighting kits too. I built 1/1000 Enterprise first and plan to build another one as practice before I get to my 1/350.

And yea, it would be cool to display the QMX figures with a 1/350 Enterprise
