Do you guys know if any of the Sideshow Original Dead line was ever available to retailers?

Honestly, I love the Queen so much, I will be getting her no matter what (well almost).

I think she might be at around 400 she's got those two things at her legs that count as figures of their own, but she's not as established as Conan.

While the skeleton helped, I'm pretty sure the main source of Conan's cost is the height. At 27 inches he towers over most PFs.

Yeah, his base is huge, and has a half of another dead body on it.

I wouldn't say towers...unless 3 inches is now towering.

Considering how many PFs, especially female ones, are 19-21 inches tall, yes I would count six to eight inches more as towering. Ones like the Batman PF are exceptions, not the norm. Just as that statue is supposed to be quite tall, Conan will be very tall. He's only half an inch shorter than the gorilla dio and he's eight inches taller than the Black Widow PF. That's an almost 30% increase in height. He's seven to eight inches taller than Dracula and even taller than the Ganondorf PF.

I'm really not sure why people think all statues are created equally. The Conan base is super elaborate and people pay for that sculpt. It's fine if people would prefer he stood on a two inch rock and they paid a lot less for it, but I won't sit here and pretend like fifty dollars is what makes or breaks this already expensive hobby. It's almost as bad as the people who said "I'm out" when a few of the PFs that went up awhile back were fifteen dollars more than usual.

Considering how much larger the Hulk is in comparison of course he counts. It's a 30 inch figure with minimal Base. For you, this piece is obviously more important than others. For me it isn't. I'd be willing to pay $380 for Conan, we're talking a $70 price difference. For you that may not be much, but for me that's nearly another Two NRD's on other pieces. Sometimes, you just have to draw a line in the sand and for me, that's it. I pay for the sculpted figures not the bases, I only paid more for Superman and Batman because I expected them to be more because of the DC license and who they are. I do not pay because the Base is huge and has an armored skeleton on it. They Can remove that and I'd be fine. You obviously wouldn't be.

You want to argue this point in every thread, we can go round and round. My point of view is what it is.

She could come up to 450.00 because of the extra fine detail job. I mean the GG honey trap line is a unlicense line and people are still buying at 600.00 each. So 450.00 is a bargain compare to GG. With so many fans who love this so much! I think it's the most hype statue at the con. Sexy sculpt by mark newman, best details I've ever seen on a SS female, stands great next to so many other PF, 1/4 scale, maybe low ES, all equals higher price just because it's possible.
