Any word on an ex? Is it even going to have one?

What would the ex be? Toples? Different color bra? I think the best would be a portrait without the bone crown, just her straight black hair, maybe a tiara.

Nada yet, but I don't expect that kind of news for a bit. If I had to speculate, Jack the Ripper didn't have an EX, this may not either.

Yeah, it's kind of strange. I looked through all the different Dead pieces, and most of them had EXs, except Jack the Ripper and Death's General (but he had plenty of switch outs).

Shhh...don't, you'll bring it back and we don't need that.

SO...How you liking Queen of the Dead, my good man?

Honestly?

I love her! It's the best statue they've shown this year. I'm seriously planning on getting her.

Two days ago I said that I could never afford anything bigger than 1:6 scale, both due to prices and physical space for display. But I just can't resist her! I NEED that statue!

So, I'll be making an exception with this particular line. It's going to be the only series of Premium Format statues that I'll be collecting, or trying to collect anyway. For any other property, I'll be "mostly" sticking to my "rule".

I gotcha, I used to collect 1/6th statues and the Batman black and white line but I had to sell them all. I always wanted to get into the 1/4 scale stuff though. Now that I'm okay financially(still can't buy everything though) I'm only collecting 1/4 scale stuff at this point.

Careful though, once you've been bitten by the 1/4 scale bug you may change your tune as they are some of the most impressive pieces out there.

Thanks for the advice and sharing your experience. :)

As time passed by, I went through an "evolution" of sorts in the hobby, too.

I started with the 7 inches figures from DC Direct, and the little figurines from Eaglemoss, but sold most of that stuff (sold all of those Eaglemoss littles things), and now I'm more statue oriented.

Lost a little the taste for action figures, whatever the scale, becaue I never felt completely comfortable with the looks of some articulation points. So, my switch to statues is very definitive, I think.

I agree with you on the action figures. For some reason all those seams bother me now, even though when I was a kid I loved them. I tried with the Eagle moss but couldn't keep up and I sold them as well. Once my list of 1/4 is done maybe I'll go back to getting a few smaller things down the line but it looks like Sideshow is going to be keeping me busy. :lol

Anyway, Happy collecting to you!

Thank you, Josh!

So far, I don't have much, but whenever I get some glass cabinets to display some of my things, I'll create my thread at the "Show your shelves" section. :)

I'll probably do the same but I think I'm going to with the Pax at Ikea and maybe get some reinforced shelves and metal brackets as they only hold up to 44lbs. per shelf and some of these things get heavy. I look forward to your pics.

Hell this new court of the dead line seems very interesting so far. Queen of the dead and Red Sonja are the biggest surprise must orders for me.

Even Martin Canale Jack the ripper i am starting to like..

They seem to get more flack on the licensed statues then the originals.

Probably a lot more pressure on them for the Licensed Statues too, everyone has a preconceived notion on the licensed pieces where the original there's no real expectations.

Here's a cool shot I snagged of the little dudes at her feet.
