I got hyped when you said the words 'a new T-800.'
It's been so long, we need a badass T2 Arnold.
I'd buy a T-800 in a heartbeat, even if I'm not the world's biggest Terminator fan. But it's my favourite from the Predator/Robocop/Rambo/etc era and I want at least one Ahnuld. It'll hurt having no Stallone, but unless they make a Dredd figure, I don't see myself owning any of his other characters.
I'd love a new T2 Arnold in shades that improves the two things over HT: likeness (including the Arnold neck) and body proportions.
While it probably will mean nothing, I'm glad to see that Blade made the top 10 of the 90s list (after removing irrelevant items).
He's one of the few new characters I still want to add to my display, and I'm surprised no company had made him yet, especially given the popularity of the HT Blade II.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but how great would this be in 1:6?

He made a line about iceskating sound cool. Now that's coolness you just can't buy in a store. Why he disappeared off the face of the Earth I don't kn- Oh yeah, the taxes...
Even at his age he would've been a better Killmonger than what we got. Honestly, the Black Panther brand got shafted big time, and I hate the normies for lapping that nonsense up. It had so much potential, but they took a very interesting character and setting and made it awful. Awful I tell you! Black Panther, Namor, Kang, Doom, those were my kinda guys. One got watered down and is dead (no offense to the man, pbuh, but you get me...), the other's a manlet middle aged dude, the next one's an ugly clown and the last one I'm not expecting much from. Why does the universe hate me?!
But Hell man, why can't they show Snipes some love? Capeflicks are reigning supreme and my man is out there doing literally nothing. Is this the thanks he gets for reviving the genre? I like Ali a lot and everything, but I don't see Blade in him. A cold mastermind type of villain? Sure. Blade? Nah.
It would be insane. I would need Frost too.
That film was huge when I was in school.
Best opening sequence ever! To that point.
Has it been topped since?
Blade was peak 90s/00s black leather action horror fun. And no, I don't think anything in the cape genre came close. Ghost Rider was too superhero-y, Punisher too restrained, and so on. FoX-Men I look back on fondly as a time capsule but it's not exactly as enjoyable a flick as Blade was. I'd say Keanu's Constantine has similar vibes. And I'd buy figures of both Snipes Blade and Reeves JonCon, no question. Same for a new Perlman Hellboy, even if the movies are way too different from the source. Might as well add a Spawn there. And that's how you go from "I value quality over quantity and stick to a strict list" to hoarding...
They just don't make them like that these days. It's why while I still like MCU Strange, I kind of wish we'd gotten an early 00s or late 90s Strange flick with Depp or Ethan Hawke. The period fit the style more.
Hot Toys does lazy reissues all the time and people still want QS to tackle those characters. I think it's a bit of both.
One thing is certain: whether the average collector missed out on Baleman (at this point... how?) or they want to see Queen's super-premium take on him, they're always going to want Baleman over something new. He's most people's "it" character and if you have such a character, you can never get enough of them in your preferred format.
What's it take to start a collectible company these days? Can one start as an LLC and scoop up some B-licenses for small runs?
That's actually a good point. If I had the money I'd go after all Doom collectibles. There are characters that I'm willing to get multiples of if they have different costumes, but I'm unlikely to "upgrade". That's why I take my time with every single character; I don't like rebuying the same looks. But I love Doom enough to want it all and can see myself buying multiples.
