Interesting that they're going to do a poll for animation. Arcane please

What's next? Comic books or does MCU/DCEU pretty cover that end of story?
No way. Sooo many comic books. The Sandman. Ronin. Scott Pilgrim. Preacher. From Hell. V For Vendetta. Lone Wolf and Cub. Most things from Grant Morrison would be great. League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I could do this all day.

And most of these I would prefer the comic versions to any adaptation they may have done anyway. One of HT’s biggest crimes is to not do comic book versions of characters and when they did the mostly screwed it up.

My guilty pleasure characters from Image Comics.

Aspen/Fathom
Gen¹³: Burnout, Fairchild, Freefall, Grunge, John Lynch, Rainmaker
Shadowhawk
The Darkness
The Magdalena
The Savage Dragon
Wetworks
Witchblade
WildC.A.T.s: Voodoo, Zealot
Youngblood

I would short-circuit if they did Masters of the Universe figures, preferably from the 200X cartoon. But it's not like those designs are ready to be translated into 3D, they'd need to be fleshed out and given additional texture to look good in a high-end figure format.

Basically I want the MOTU line that Mondo can't seem to make.

I need them make figures that hot toys won't make like Darkseid and Lich King. Those would actually sell unlike some of those obscure characters ...

Well, they described it as "animation" yesterday, but the poll itself is for anime. Dragon Ball Z currently leads with 63 votes, followed by Berserk with 41, followed by a smattering of other popular anime (including duplicate entries for DBZ and Berserk).

I'm actually completely all right with this so far.

Does MONDO still have the MOTU license or did it expire/lapse?
Pretty sure they do. They have additional characters and a deluxe, souped-up version of He-Man with battle armor planned (that one I'm admittedly curious about).

Are there very many anime characters done in 1/6 scale? It's kind of a weird fit to me, it's such a stylized medium.

Define "very many". It depends on the anime. For example, Lupin III 1:6 figures were produced by Medicom years ago.

A number of anime characters/properties are available as 1:6 figures, but the selection/variety is not as numerous compared to say HT MCU 1:6 figures.

Detailed, photo-realistic figures of…drawings?
Would the figures be completely flat and two-dimensional to guarantee the likeness?
They should stick to Movies and TV.

You could either do photo realistic interpretations like HT did with Bad Batch or you could do something like these

I voted for Berserk. Guts and Griffith at least are a given. I love me some Eva, but I don't see what characters they could make. A Major Kusanagi would make for a nice figure though. Hell, even the ScarJo version would make for a nice figure. The design's just too good. FMA has some nice toyetic looks too, I think. I'd name an anime or two more, but I don't think they have any chances.

If they do comics, then I'll be in trouble. I'd literally have to throw away all MCU/DCEU stuff. Maybe they could do some lesser known properties or something. I'm specifically in the photorealism/Clone Wars & Bad Batch camp. I pay 1/3rd of a grand each for these things in order to have realistic portraits and clothing. Otherwise I'd be fine with Mezco and Revoltech/Figuarts/etc 6" figures.

What movies do you want?

Tell me about it. I thought BatMania died in the mid 10s, but apparently the majority of collectors, comic readers and casual fans would be content with just Batman and Spider-Man merch and general products. I don't get it. I don't understand how they don't get bored of the same old things again and again and again. But Batman still sells even if the current books are literally bottom of the barrel random caperags, so what can I say?

Christ though. At least I can understand Star Wars or Star Trek fanatics. There's an entire huge setting there. How many goddamn guys in Batsuits and wacky serial killers running around Not!Detroit/Jersey can you stomach?! Well, the good thing in my case is that I've been getting progressively sicker and sicker of Batman, so it's saving me money on the merch...

I'll probably get a Battinson and wichever villains are the most Gothic-looking, which was always my main reason for liking Batman. No Catwoman, no Riddler and the such for me. I'm just sick of it all. Talon, Hush, Ras and the such would be the ones to tempt me, purely for aesthetic reasons.

For what it's worth, they have just fully revealed 1/4 Loki statue and state the following as product material: Polystone, Fabric Clothing, Wool Hair, Genuine Leather.

Damn, Kaecilius was awesome.
Eh, I wouldn’t buy a figure of him, as he was rather forgettable. But Mads in a suit has many uses. I still hope he might return as a human avatar of Dormammu, but that ship’s probably sailed. Still, FB Mads with some fire effects and the such could stand next to Strange and the others and not feel out of place.
