Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Thanks dude but IDK. Doing a head count on who missed out and who is still aiming at a DX even after the recent scores, the demand is like at least double the supply.

I wish he'd just convert the FSs into all DXs. It seems that the slide for a $100 is a no brainer for everyone anyway.

I liked the idea that was thrown around at one point about the slide being a made to order add on type thing

That lasted way longer then I would've imagined :lol

Hmmmm, is that an upgrade your asking for? Anarchy Anarchy! :lol

No but seriously you've spent some good coin with Rainman I hope he can accomodate you.

Its crazy Pop, rember how not many wanted a DX and then all of sudden an influx of hypebeasts! :lol Fugazi's

Ill be on the lookout for ya

I saw a DFS appear for 2 seconds about 30 minutes ago. By the time I went to put it in my cart it was gone

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Can anyone still achieve VIP status or was that back in the day and no longer given out. I remember seeing 2K as the threashold, isn't that like "nothing" in terms of RM figures, its about 2 FS plus some head sculpts.

I have absolutely no doubt that you will be fine on Tuesday. So many accomplished their wants last night, you really shouldn't have much competition. On Tuesday I'll tell you "Told ya so". :lecture

Feasting my eyes on the public pics of this mofo of a figure right now, thanks.

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Hm...you guys reckon these sculpts will eventually be orderable as standalone head sculpts, right?

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Good luck Pop. I'm sure you'll be fine on Tuesday. I'm in the same boat. I'm hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. :) :yess: :monkey2

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Sooo if I have the count right... Rainman left 5 of each set left up for grabs? Feeling pretty good about my chances of getting the shades then. :)

5/20 DX sets
5/15 Double full sets
5/20 Driver full sets
5/20 Soldier full sets

But just in case I get stuck with a H&C... how hard is it to get that custom torso swapped onto a TTM21? Simple or a lot of modification?

That'll be the best I told you so that I've ever heard in my life. Hoping & looking forward to it :duff

Thanks brother-man, and good luck back at ya. This is probably the part that I hate the most about collecting; competing with friends :(

I think it depends who you ask. Some do it in their sleep and some will call it a lot of modding :lol but then again some don't even want so much as futz an outfit

I haven't done it before but I think that it's a very manageable mod. Not super advanced :wink1:

Wow, so 15 DX, 10 Double full sets, and more surprising (to me at least), 15 Driver and 15 Soldier FS all sold out? Are there that many VIPs here? Or maybe 50% of those purchases were made by folks back in Korea or just in general ppl not on this board.

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

If it's like Bill was, then putting the torso on was pretty easy (uses the TT's screws). The potentially tricky part is the little j-hook you have to screw into the head, and the elastic band. Took me some trial and error. Definitely trickier than the typical Rainman head/outfit mod, which is just cracking open some feet and using some super glue.

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Hate to say this...RM banked today....definitely made history...I hate to count his money but damn....that boy making BREAD!!!!!

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

I was talking with the wife about that, pulled together a rough estimate of gross revenue here for this release (estimated h+c, sculpts, outfits, full sets, etc.), and it came in at over $100K.

:goodpost:

Yeah, it's really easy if you know how to take apart a body. I don't think it would be insanely hard though, just take the rubber plugs in the back, then unscrew, put the torso and arms back in place and that's it. Easier said then done but me or anyone of the customizers on here could help with it.
