Is the worn condition of the patch due to current age? or did the patch look that old in the film? I wonder why the other releases and copies of the patch dont include the quoatation marks

Great question! The worn condition is in fact because of the current age. The red on the font would need to be touched up. This is why I put up a pic of the movie screencap.

However what is important is the King Kong Company Graphic image of the Ape. No other figure maker that has done this character have gotten this detail right. I sent Rainman the images and he said he did it. I'm not really sure if that meant he has revised/corrected it.

Based on that video that I posted, it shouldnt be that hard to pull the graphic image. Similar to what they did for Jules Dork T-shirt. They were able to get that graphic accurately.

Its a very "nitpick" of a correction but I think its neccessary. Alot of Taxi Driver fanatics always comment on how they never get the accurate graphic image right, especially for the replica 1:1 M-65 jackets. Buzz Rickson company made a huge error with the patch they used.

The current patch image rainman is using is exact to the Bros Production patch, so it is not accurate.

I agree. I hope he knows that not all characters are going to be so scrutinized as travis Bickle. Hopefully it will save him worrying about the future of detail freaks.

Im bashing my own and am working on my own patches for the M-65 jacket. I have found a few images in which the font and ape look completely off. Only one i found looks correct, but even that one is missing the quotation marks. Im just going to photoshop them in.

I guess Turbo has always been a super fan of the character, but yeah every release will tickle some folks a lot more and the scrutiny will be intense.

Yup I'm pretty much done after Bickle. If Torrance is next that will be another crop of "experts".

I'll probably just start gathering "intel" for Shogun Assassin (Lone Wolf and Cub). Here's to him deciding to do it one of these days
