IF RM uses the screen capture and redoes the patch. it will look fine. the patch above is old and looks ancient. If you look at the screen grabs i posted, in the film the patches look new, bright, and crisp.

Maybe some new screen captures from the Bluray version are needed.
I think if it looks new - there is not much difference with what he is using now... old is gold

Heres a look at the jacket and wings patch. Its worn in and faded so the patches would reflect that.
He's a war veteran. No way those patches are going to be crisp on those army/marine issued jackets

After recently re-watching the movie, there's a bit of a continuity error where his hair is short like that, then long again in another shot, then short again. I initially thought he cut it after his discussion with the secret service guy, so he wouldn't be as easily recognizable, but he actually has it short during their talk.
I saw someone saying they were going to give shades to the haired sculpt, but FYI he only wears the shades when he has the hair cropped close like that, or when he is wearing the mohawk.
