Even the King Kong Company patch is wrong. That patch is from the Real McCoy's replica jacket. Its like they just grab the first pics they get off the internet. These things should be properly and thoroughly researched.

The accurate one is different starting with the fact that King Kong should be in quotes. There really simply just isnt enough research dedicated to accurate reference.

Well if history tells us anything, the sculpt should be the same, apart from the hair. Not doing too much for me right now. I prefer Feng's based on what we're seeing here, even though it was more intentionally stylized.

I don't mean to be a **** but at what point do collectors just stop buying rainman. Seriously. At these prices you could group commission a headscelpt and get the outfits made and the heads painted by the best. It's just nuts. If this figure was top notch likeness I'd be singing a different tune.

If you are honest with yourself there's no way the sculpt is even 75%. Think about what this would look like if Trevor had sculpted it. Rain mans skills have not aged well. The best part are his accessories. His tailor can be commissioned for a price. Three or four years ago his sculpts were top. But the hobby has matured.

Im sorry, but it looks off IMO, its about 80-85% Bobby D. But for the price of this, Im expecting 90-100%...But keep fingers crossed for the haired version.

for $1000+, this needs to be 100% accurate... atm it is about 80%. And I don't want to spend that just for the clothing... Needs work. Painting is nice...I was looking forward to this - but I am actually on the fence about purchasing

I do think his sculpts are hit-and-miss, but that's always been the case. His Blondie wasn't particularly accurate, or his Durdens, or his Dexter, or his Alex, etc. But he does have some real home runs, and his tailoring and accessories, like you say, are top notch. So it's nothing new or shocking when a sculpt is a miss to me. His figures are always extremely high quality though, which is a powerful draw, and what keeps collectors coming back as much as anything else IMO.

I think this Bickle definitely has the Rainman style going on.

He went with half closed eylids. He needs to open up the eyes a bit more. Lose the half shut eyelids

Yeah....a lot of things are off...and for an added 700 bucks I do expect near perfection....maybe what wake speaks is actually the route I may go....not really looking good for Bickel....and judging by how RM likes to just put a countdown clock...I don't see too much changing...:-/

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Eye brows are way too thick but that's just a painting problem....he went with that look that Pajj has as his signature....very scene dynamic....

That mohawk sculpt looks soft as hell.

With respect... It needs work.
