The overall likeness has tied in together more with the hair in the way that it's unmistakably Jules but without the hair the things that are off still remain such as the shape of his face. It look good put put together but it's still missing vital attributes. The fro could be higher and rounder too; this is a bit flat.

Looks good but the hair is possibly a little 'tight' if that makes sense?

Lee said in response to gun scale:

Figure hand is bigger than original scale.

All company use use this scale.if i make bigger than vincent, not match with vincent.

I don't agree with that approach because two wrongs don't make a right. I'm not sure what company he's saying uses this scale but HT definitely doesn't and that's the body that these are built on. That's the majority of available hands on the market! :dunno

That's the one thing that I'm really dissapointed in with Vince. That's a big time miss to make a gun that doesn't fit properly in the hand that's included with the fullest. I rather see him at least make Jules' in scale with HT hands & guns so at least one of these guys can hold the gun properly. Really I'd like to see him redo Vince's larger and offer it or sale for those who can't live with this one.

Mike, just get yourself an ACI hand. The HT hands arent in scale with the bodies or heads either. In fact I wonder why HT still uses those molds. The gun looks perfect with an ACI christian trigger hand. It fits exactly how it should

As far as the body goes I've mentioned this several times but I know the word KO turns people off so no one is paying this idea much mind. The KO AA body is the best solution for Jules!!! Don't fool yourselves and be scared by the the words knock off. Just because Enterbay made the body doesn't make it good. It has numerous complaints of loose joints. Aside from that it is no way close to scale or fitting for Jules proportions. It's TOO tall and too muscular.

The AA KO is a rip of the TTM18 which is very fitting for a thin build. They are naturally a bit taller than the official TTs, at least the older versions were. If they used the height to match the official TTs then that's nothing that long foot pegs can't fix. And they fixed the loose joint problem. In essence these KO's will be better quality than the Enterbay bodies. Think about it people and whoever is passing on the info PLEASE CONSIDER THIS!

Have you ever had any experiences with the AA knock offs? One came with my Iminime Somerset it's a V1 I believe and it's terrible. Also got one with my Iminime Fox a V2 and it's also terrible. I've had no experience with there 'V3' but unless its 10 times better than the previous 2 efforts not something I'd want at all...

The joints where loose on both and they couldn't stand up straight ended up looking bow legged

I know that that's the trick to balance it but then what do you do for Jules? ACI doesn't make an AA Christian. Even if HT hands (and in respect, guns) are a bit oversized that doesn't change the fact that it's the standard. I'm sure 99% of everyone's collection here consists of hand and guns that are HT brand, or in scale with that.

Looking a lot better but the hair is definitely a bit on the flat side and the soul patch still seems to be missing.

I think the handlebars could be thinned out a bit too and a little space between the mustache and nose.

Emarae has a video on YouTube on what he did to customize his Jules bootleg sculpt's hair. It started a lot like what RM has now and he added height and made it rounder and the end result was a much better likeness

Julie lookin' great again :)

Agree the hair needs to be more poofy and not so tight. Can somebody please relay this back to the man!

I have experiences with all 3. All of the V1s are total s__t and I swapped all my early Iminime figs over to TTM18s (Mills, Somerset, Ra's, Neo, Smith), although they were slightly improved by tightening them yourself. Iminime's Lecter is on a V2 (I believe) and is acceptable. RMs Plainview is on a V2 and is also acceptable if your talking about the tightness of the joints. The reason why I b__ched at the time was because it wasn't acceptable to me for the price point, but I understand that Plainview was made in that in between period and there was a drought of official 18s at the time. Beto's Beetlejuice is on what I imagine is a V3 and it's definitely acceptable.

Don't let Enterbay's name brand fool you. There were tons of complaints about QC issues with this. Just because EB made it doesn't mean that it's tight and perfect. Wobbly knees plague the MIB sets just like they did with HT Jack Joker.

In this case not only will these KO bodies have tighter joints than the EB but it respects Jules' physique better in every way. It really is a no brainier. There isn't a better option out there in abundance OR in small quantities.

:chillpill:

Its that time again and I am sure things will work themselves out. hehe

Go get em guys and get the corrections made. I'll sit back and enjoy this release.

Not too long ago we were screaming about the Travolta Sculpt (Me included) and how it looked like Madmartigan.

Then the paint apps came in and it was :thud:

Lol I don't think I've ever said the Enterbay bodies are the right choice I'm well aware of there limitations and QC issues that being said I've also handled enough of the knock off's to know I don't like or want them in my collection. Granted no V3's for me well not that I knew of until you mentioned Beetlejuice so I'll take a closer look at that one when I get home.

Hasn't Rainman already bought the EB bodies?

I bought a EB MIB body just in case I wasnt able to snag a fullset on release (If there's any VIPs out there who don't want the figure please let me know, as I will gladly use your slot!)

Anyway, the EB AA hands look really good. Much better than the terrible mode HT hands. The sculpt on the TT hands is BAAAAD.

There ya go; check out BJ and you'll see what I mean.

I'm with you though, don't get be wrong. I only want top quality material in my collection too and the use of KO as a substitute is not what I'd want to see become a standard in high end releases. But this is a rare isolated case. The V3s have been improved to a very acceptable point. Of course there not as perfect as a TT but they are sturdy, the joints are way tighter than the originals; they aren't floppy shelf divers and could hold a solid pose without a stand. The hand pegs and sockets are compatible with HT now so that solves a lot of problems.

There is a difference when you are articulating the joint. The official joints just have a high quality feel that I can't exactly put into words. They just jive better and feel better assembled. The KO has a bit of a creaky feel and it's a dead give away when you're messing with one but only connoisseurs will notice. As I said at this point the KO are tough enough to hold extreme poses and are even far superior to the HT & EB bodies that had issues.

The pros far out weigh the cons in this situation. You have to live with the knowledge that it's a "KO" :horror but you get the only available body of good quality that is fitting for Jules height, build and skin tone (for those who that matters to)

Speaking of out of scale...this is going to be huge :lol

I guess there was no way around it but to truly be sized right, this pendent would have to be the size of one of his buttons... or smaller
