Haha. I'd like to get RM's paint job on it since the extra outfit set would be kinda useless without Vince having one.

That said... are there ever any DX full sets available after VIPs get their picks? (In case he releases a figure with a hatless sculpt, etc in the future like Plainview)

It's hard to judge the future. In the past he has allocated sets (DX & reg) to VIP & GP. This is the first time since the Dude that he ran a straight up first come first serve and that's why there was very little left for GP

I think Anton had a lot to do with how Vince was handled. Can't blame the guy must be horrendously frustrating to have so many drop outs

That happened for Anton??

Damn it... I wish I could go back in time 1-2 years ago... and tell myself all about the custom 1/6 tab on SSF haha...

Yeah, what happened during the Anton PO? I wasnt keeping up with Rainman stuffs a while then.

As far as I remember for 2 weeks after Anton's sale date everything kept popping back up as people weren't paying. Full sets, H&C sets you name it was all available at some point over the 2 weeks period after the original sale.

Yeah Fullsets were up there a few days after sale day. Fair game so I bought an extra FS Anton for my brother :wave

If your brother wanted one then why not :). Just saying I am not surprised RM appears to have reverted to opening the whole lot up for VIP he get's his cash much quicker and it minimises the amount of drop outs

Didn't use my VIP to buy two. Didn't think that was fair, but if a figure is there for grabs for almost a week than I see nothing wrong with it.

Rainman works with Vips memberships too?, i thank only iminime works this way

Iminime's VIP is a variation of Rainman's model.

Only difference is that with Rainman's VIP you are not buying into the VIP membership you get designated a VIP once you've made a certain dollar amount of purchases with him.

VIP's get first crack, but Rainman always leaves some out for the general public.

Vince went quick and very few were left over for the general public

I'm gonna be tempted to use my VIP to get a fullset Jules even though I only want a head/outfit set. . .just because I don't want to relive the horror I had almost missing out on Vince's set altogether b/c of site glitches during rush hour.

I've got a full set Rainman figure, but only one. . .I'm the rare cheapskate high end custom collector, who would be happy to pay a mere $500 to get a great looking figure instead of shelling out the extra $400 to get a Rainman painted head, body, and accessory :lol

If Rainman ever does Teen Wolf, or characters from Miller's Crossing or Raising Arizona something, then I'm sure I will get another full set from the man.

Thanks for the explanation :)

I like a lot the way Rainman makes accessories and outfits, but imo rainman's sculpts (most of them) are only nice, not outstanding ( for the price he charges)

You're right and I don't blame him, but there are two sides of the coin here. It would be more fair to the GP if he didn't let the VIP's gobble them up but I understand why he wouldn't want to deal with the up & down, back & forth anymore.

Obviously when we see a set there after 2 weeks it's clearly a case of someone grabbing it and not paying within the 5 business days and then the next person grabbing it and doing the exact same thing; not paying within the grace period. I'm sure it's frustrating for him because the large majority of people who are interested were most likely following the release from early on. If you're not sure if you want it by sales day, then how much time do you need??? :lol

But at the same time I don't think letting GP get a crack at four sets is fair either. If he wants to minimize on the BS he can just cut the grace period down to 3 days, as he did, but IDK if allocating so little to GP is necessary. After the smoke clears at the end of 3-4 weeks, most times everything is sold out down to the unpainted heads. There's worse things in the world than being able to gross $45000+ in that time.
