Agreed, I'm super happy with my current pair but in sure these will be an upgrade and a beautiful finished set. Can't wait!

These are some of the most important "cult" film characters of the last 20 years, so I get why Rainman would want to do it. But like yru, I kinda hate seeing Rainman tackle something so simple and conventional. If they have the regular suits, I'm sure these will be the nicest regular suits you can find at this scale beyond buying from Kato. But Rainman's real strengths are the tailoring and accessories IMO. So even if I'm not buying, those are the things I love to see him do really, and will pretty often be the factors that push me to want to buy his stuff. The stuff he did with Bill the Butcher and Wonka are amazing in that department.

Still very curious to see how these turn out. On the surface, I'm guessing I will pass because apart from Bogart, I can't see paying $500+ for a guy in a regular suit, particularly when they don't have really special accessories to set them apart. But I never say never with Rainman.

Completely agree with this. This whole project screams iminime collaboration with Rain man doing the heads to me, rather than a full blown RM release. This is a 280 - 320 per complete figure project at best. $1200 for both is a little nuts.

Not to be controversial, because I know there is a lot of support, but I think Bickle is also in this bracket.

Agree completely. I'm disappointed that Iminime seem to have apparently put this in the too-easy-to-bash-therefore-not-touching-it category, and the only option for fans may end up being to pay a hefty amount for two Rainman guys in suits. I don't care about accessories to furnish a glammed-up set, I just want to be able to have a clean n' simple Brett's apartment Jules and Vincent. I'm interested to see how Rainman will approach it, as I've always wanted this pair.

Can't agree with that last sentence at all! Trav definitely deserves the RM treatment!

Thought you might say that...not sure why he 'deserves' it though?

Because he is one of the most iconic figures in cinema! He has never been done to an acceptable standard in 1/6. Potential for a double release, Mohawk and long haired version :)

Yeah I get that, but it's an easy bash, just needs a great head sculpt, which I'd be all over. No real need for a full RM release with a $800+ price tag, it along with pulp fiction guys would be a better iminime release, with RM's collaboration.

Disagree

RM would kill Trav! He could also potentially nail the working arm holster :drool

He could give us a perfect S&W model 29, S&W model 36 snub and thd S&W escort.

Also perfect tailoring and everything being uber accurate which a Trav release deserves.

This seems like a waste of the artist time and talents. These characters are one of the easiest bashes ever. It's two guys in black suits. Most of the assessories mentioned could be sourced from stuff that is already availabe. Wonder why this wasn't an Iminime project as it seems to fit thier current project list? I am happy for people who have the extra cash that they can drop on this. For me to spend that kind of money on a custom figure it needs to be something I can't get anywhere else. Like Rameriez from Highlander, or some of the Watchmen that Hot Toys didn't do. As much as I wanted the Men in Black I couldn't justify that purchase and it was guys in suits for half of what these will probably cost. Looks like this will be an easy pass as well. Happy for those who need thier Rainman fix. Enjoy it.

People need an excuse to pay $500 more than they should on an easy to bash figure. It's for the brand. It's like buying designer clothes. All people needed to see was "Rainman" and they were already pulling out their wallet.

Travis is in no way an easy bash. Has the potential for some of rainmans most intricate work.

I can see why people feel pulp fiction should bot be rainman however anyone who has owned a rainman suit will not be disappointed. :lecture

I think people tend to forget how limited Rainman's work is in comparison to Iminime's figures. I know that's not important to most people but it's another reason for a price jump.
Personally , if these were figures I wanted done well in my collection I'd be glad Rainman himself is taking them on. If there's anyone who doesn't want to pay the full price picking up a headsculpt and bashing the rest is always an option. Something I might end up doing myself.

I think the main reason I'd want to pass on these is because when I think of Pulp Fiction I think of all the characters in general and not just Jules and Vincent and that could end up a big collection. :monkey1:lol

I didn't realise making just the sculpts available was RM's MO. I'll be bashing these for sure.

This has the potential to be another Rainman Fight Club where multiple characters were offered so brace yourselves it could happen. Along with Jules and Vince, I wouldnt mind having a Mia and Marseilles Wallace.

It really does! How could you leave out Bloody Butch man???! He comes before Marcellus and Mia! Well maybe not a dance partner Mia! Oh the possibilities!

So excited for this release. My favorite film of all time! It's so much more than guys in suits!

Mia should get the treatment ASAP. Butch was a great character but in in no rush for him.

Vincent before Jules???
He died sitting on a toilet...

Jules, Vincent & Mia two pack offering, Torrance, Bickle.

Two of the most wanted figs since I started collecting 1:6 last year and taken on by Rainman no less. This is going to cost me a fortune.
