Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Good to here it's underway! really can't wait for this! I'd put him next to Cap'n Jack if I weren't doing a Depp themed shelf.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I don't know when is rainman going to show it, but it's gonna be worth the wait.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Don't think I've ever been more excited for a figure, I guess it being my first Rainman piece is part of it too.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Awesome, excited for this but can all the Heavy Hitters make sure that we all agree as a community that no private commission Rainman for Travis Bickle, so that eventually it can be a general release!

Sorry to go a bit off topic

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Travis Bickle. Teddy commissioned that last year- dont you remember.:wink1:

Sorry. That was mean.

I am pretty sure Rainman understands the popularity of that character and therefore would not entertain a one off commission. Couldn't be sure, just a guess. I will not be entertaining a one off commission again after the latest backlash.

So is there no way to turn this around then Teddy? And get it released as a full figure. The interest is there. I know its special to you but I think everyone would win the other way around. You included.

The interest is only there now the piece has been shown :dunno

It wasn't there before imo

I got mocked on quite a few occasions

I sold 3 key pieces I will never own again to make this happen so how would that benefit me? How do I win also? I am not interested in money back else I wouldnt have gone to these lengths in the first place

I am not being an ass dude but I really don't understand why that seems to be so hard to understand.

i understand where you're coming from aaron, to a point, but that isn't strictly true.

against marty and mad max, david did pretty damn well. i really don't remember any mocking in the wishlist thread, but maybe i wasn't paying attention. there was definitely interest.

There was definately mocking.

Also wasn't it said that poll was a farce? The number of people that voted against the number of people that actually go for a rainman figure :dunno

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

The point is that David project has set these boards on FIRE! in a very good/inspiring way. No one can take away that you made this project happen along with Rainman. Believe me when I tell you your going to get over this figure much faster than if you where to introduce it as a joint project between you and Rainman. How about a 3-6 month layover so that you'd be the first to receive a full figure to display and show.

The blueprint is already there for David, with Doc and Pee Wee in the works, we can all concentrate on getting our money ready for it and have Rainman Booked for these. There's already more than enough interest for all 3.

you really are a rainman superfan aren't you, JP? :lol i think you, teddy and mag need to get yourselves VVVIP status! a rainman david would have been cool, but i'm content with the WGP project. i can tell you guys aren't though :lol

teddy, i wish you all the best for the project. hope it turns out well. it's a shame you didn't think the interest was there, but i appreciate you went through a lot to get this made.

hey... it's hard to be anything but happy right now... dark helmet, ninja turtles, pee wee all in one week? forgetaboutit.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I'm sure WGP is going to be phenomenal work, and you bet I got my eyes on the vamp sculpt. But is it going to be a full figure? Just making the push on David because we've seen the goods already. But Teddy it's your call, either way it's going to be an instant classic and probably triple, quadruple in value since it's a 1of1. So your not losing your investment at all. After all said and done you will probably be able to replace what you sold 3 times over with the value of this figure.

Sorry for derailing!
Back to Doc!!!

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Just to chime in. Seeing as it has come up.

I suggested, Teddy use his personal commission 'fund' to get a Rainman vampire head and the Reg one be a general release.

Therefore still getting a one of one to a degree.

Not pushing for it though, just sharing a thought. Can't see the rainman David ever being a general release.

Isn't that how it always goes, people don't want something till they can't have it.

You spent a lot of money on this and sold stuff you probably didn't want to let go, I can't say I don't understand where you are coming from. With WGP doing sculpts now, I say no one should complain, if any one should complain it's you. Now that you have spent all that money everyone finally gets on your band wagon. If they had done it in the first place you'd have saved some money and not lost those pieces.
