I appreciate all the comments. I kinda just shot this thing out in 30min without really thinking about all the concerns all the images bring to the display. I may scale it down to having just the Doc Holliday wanted poster or the funeral notice. I do want to try and have it completely boxed in with a dark background and dremel out 2 slots in the case and have 2 small LED spotlights on it. Ofcourse this is all kind of ambitious thinking as none of it really will happen until I have the figure in hand and can physically see how it'll display.

I'm trying to come up with a unique way to display my customs. I like the detolfs from Ikea, but I want more of the museum feel when displaying these masterpieces. The challenge is keeping the collection small so as to not make the collection look too jumbled. Once I get settled in my new home in Italy I will figure something out.

I have to agree...I don't even like to use stands with my figures if I can help it, and if I have to, I prefer plain black.

i really like the image in the back panel - reminds me of museum displays with the quote on there. i have a few acrylic box cases lying about and you gave me some ideas. maybe a silhouette image and the quote on clear decal paper stuck on one side would look good and wouldn't block the light either.

does anyone have the boonetown triarama? i haven't seen any reviews or in hand pics at all.

I was about to buy that saloon dio last weekend but it says the height is 17" and the shelf on the detolf I believe is "16.

I'm gonna wait to see how the figure looks on my other display case, if it looks great in it, then I'll get it. I really wanted it to fit the detolf though.
I do have triad's grave danger dio and it is excellent! Lots of great shading and quite heavy.well well made.

thanks for the info, remy, especially about the height. thought about going all out for the GBU and tombstone figs with a sandy shelf floor, tumbleweed etc. can't find a UK supplier at the moment and with the weight the shipping from the US is pretty high.

what did you use the grave danger dio for? i thought about getting one for the MJ thriller figs.

I think he's got to manually make that change in the system, so I wouldn't expect an automatic status update when you pay.

Mine took a couple days to show up as 'receipt of payment'. Maybe Rainman does it manually? I'd give it a few days before worrying too much.
