Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I agree with all of the above statements. Iminime is quickly becoming my favourite custom painter. Very happy that their painting the separate sculpts.

In the future I'm going to start saving up as soon as rainman announces a new figure (as long as it's a character I love). That way I'll have the chance to get the full set instead of kit bashing as I'll have to do with Doc and Bill the Butcher

Hey Blitz, thought you were going to get Doc's outfit from armysoldier74b?

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

i got the iminime dean head and their paint jobs surpasses hot toys by a mile so the doc heads should be painted excellently

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Oh ok! I thought "kitbashing" was like, from scratch. The Full set includes Rainman paint-up, cup, and the body, right?

Correct. It all comes assembled so all you need do is stick it on your shelf, just how I like it.

Of course the DX comes with the extra hatless sculpt on top of what you mentioned.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Any suggestions on how to change the shipping address? I tried on his site but it wouldn't let me edit. I want to have it shipped to my office since i'm here more. I can't wait - it's my first and after all i've been reading here, the anticipation is killing me

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

This is my sixth fullset and still the anticipation is killing me :lol

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Do you have any recent collection pics, Teddy? I would love to see all those figures together.

I am just working on my new cabinet at the moment :)

I would ideally like to wait until Doc and David are in hand before I take any to be honest but I will soon enough :wink1:

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I won't ever show my full collection until it is complete! ..not far off it now!:)

What kind of cabinet you get Teddy?

My friend is having to make me a bespoke one becasue of the awkward shape of my room where the cabinet can go. Just thinking about lighting right now.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I highly suggest getting a LED strip, like the one from Ikea. Its one of the best investment for your collection. I've tried non-LEDs before and they give off a yellowish tint. The LED has a nice clear, bright luminance and it also makes the colors pop on figures. Its amazing what the figure even looks like when you take it out of the cabinet and then put it back in with the LEDs. It'll truly make your collection a lot like museum pieces where they are lit to enhance to figure.

Yes I am pretty sure that is where I am going with it but thanks :wink1:

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

If you are a true collector your collection can NEVER be complete!

I have to stop collecting due to personal reasons soon enough, picking up the last few of my favorite characters and I'm done, easier said then done I know but I'm definitely done with paying out of my pocket, it will be sales money from here on out until I have the last few of my personal wants, I fear many of my bashed figures will remain unpainted/incomplete for a long time.:(
