Sooooo, If someone who bought Trevor's Firefly heads, offered them to Hot Toys[just as a for instance], as their own, and HT liked them and used them, we'd see ALL Hot Toys threads deleted?
Just saying again, everything purely circumstancial looking at this point. Seems like a lot of over reacting.
Even my sculpt interest thread [whose title I changed because I didn't know HP had been sent to the ovens] was deleted without my even being told. I don't think thats proper either.

Legality aside I will never buy anything recasted from someone other than the original sculptor. HP can go to hell and will never get a cent from me. I support true artist who put their sweat, passion, and tears into their work.

I will stop commenting because apparently my doing so is resulting in any new threads I start being deleted whether they were focused on Headplay or not.

I agree... Rainman holds the 'artistic licence' as he created it but he has no leg to stand on, same goes for Feng, Kai, Serang and the rest of the scuplting community.

Probably why hes been grinding out Zombies one after another. If someone copies these he at least has a legal right to go after the offender. Alot of the other stuff could sort out on its own. Big companies produce sculpts "similar" to stars without infirnging on their names + likeness. Maybe more sculptors should take note and produce sculpts with names like "Senior Secretary" rather than whole threads where they proclaim to be ripping off a master copy of "Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts". It may seem like semantics, but sometimes the devil really is in the details. ...and truly, if your sculpt is worth a crap, why would oyu have to say look this is (insert name here) from (insert movie here). People will figure it out.

That's a rather ridiculous example - even back in the day when HT was bootlegging characters they never would have stolen a sculpt.

Fact: Headplay posted recasts on Facebook claiming they were their own.
Fact: These exact heads are for sale on ebay.

Headplay is not banned - they could respond if they chose to.

They never claimed that these sculpts were their own. They post many things on their Facebook page.

So far they haven't said anything, not in occidental forums anyways, who knows what is happening in asian forums.

If they want to protect their interest they should have defended themselves, just like the VIVA Tommy Lee Jones sculpt, but so far nothing. Rainman even messaged them somehow but did not get an answer.

And it doesn't explain why my threads were deleted.

Not really any more ridiculous than stating a company would NEVER steal a sculpt, then deleting a thread from another company with no more than accusations.
And it doesn't explain why my threads were deleted.

People aren't even able to express their disgruntlement if we can't get word back from a sculptor [concerning goods already paid for] so would you really expect anything less? Post and thread deletions happen for any reason on here, no matter how small.

well there is a guy on ebay called ironcrosshunter or whatever his screen name is who recast stuff all day and lets you know it was recasted if you want to buy it. he is completely honest..i want to buy stuff from him .but i won't because i am afraid i am not getting a legitimate item from him..

To be real honest with you, ALL of his sculpts need major work once you get them, they are all full of air bubbles all over the place. I've been sent various sculpts from him in the past that needed work, if you have the patience to fill those, well, go ahead if you want, but I'd stay away.

I have been able to view their photo's up until today. It seems they now have made their page private.
