i agree we all collect for different reasons. i collect 1/6 because the ghost of david hasselhoff came to me in a dream one night and told me if i didn't collect 12" plastic versions of the characters he gave me on a list, satan would rise and kill all the earth's penguins. and I LIKE PENGUINS *********!

it may sound ludicrous, but it's my reason. and none of you have any right to tell me otherwise.

incidentally, if you hear a news story about a naked brown boy running onto to the pitch during the FA cup final with a GI Joe up his butt, see the above... and try not to judge.

Market value. You don't know what you are talking about. Values are not set they are determined. Its based on what someone is willing to pay for it. Its not a set price.

You will eventually get burned. Not allot of people are willing to spend $1000+ on a figure. And your are going to find yourself stuck with an expensive figure that you cant get rid of.

Also, Rainman and Petersen, Spencer will all raise there prices to comply with the new Market value. There not stupid. So stop talking about market value, $800 a figure is expensive enough. I don't want to pay $1500.

Try selling toys that have a lower price point, the return is greater.

But your fairly new to this so I'm going to let you catch your breath and really re-evaluate your position because you feel attacked by some of the community's comments and it isn't even like that.

Well I hope you guys don't consider me a "flipper" because I sold my Dude. I had multiple people pming me and offering that amount which is why I decided to sell mine and put the money into a custom Proton Pack build. Wasn't that I ever intended to sell my Dude from the get go or saw it as an investment or was bored of him or didn't think he was upto snuff, was just a great oppurtunity for me to work on another custom project that I've wanted far longer and could finally make happen.
