Rainman offers different buying options. Usually he has both a DX and fullset which come with the body, but head/clothing sets are available separately. I believe he was using the knockoff Truetypes with the last figure.

Yea man it's seriously NOT COOL! I can understand to an extent with companies such as Iminime there figures are cheaper and they make a lot more of each release and they do more releases each year than say somebody like Rainman making it impossible to supply us with original true types with there releases. As much as I hate the knock off I am happy to just continue upgrading them to the real deal as and when I purchase Iminime release but for Rainman to start using them no way.

For $800-1000 I'm sorry but using a $25 knock off body is just not acceptable his release numbers and pricing call for the real deal he's always used real true types in the past and I can't see what may have changed to make him stop using them now. A quick search on ebay shows they are still out there and in reasonable quantity.

If this becomes the new norm it may just be H&C sets for me from now on. I can't justify spending an extra $400 on 1 accessory and a knock off body that's worth $25. Granted you get the man himself's paint job but Aeon is very talented and her paintwork stands up well.

Aeon's paint work is good. But I guess the issue really boils down to what the dx and full sets have as the extra items and how important a given character/figure is to you. I don't know yet how the chigurgh will break down but certainly if with say the pikey release he gives an extra hatless sculpt and an inked chest piece and arm set to do an extra brawler version then I would definitely be down for the dx. I imagine--or maybe I'm overly hopeful--that rainman will find a way to make the full Nd dx worth the extra mile with awesome extras. I don't think he seems the sort of guy to just leave us hanging.

There will be no DX for this release.

Fullset ex item will be the transponder.

I would be the first one to complain if I really thought the bodies now being used was an inferior tt. The truth is I really couldn't tell them apart. If somebody hadn't said anything then I would be none the wiser. I don't think the body issue should be a reason for not aspiring to get the fullest. Just my two cents.

Its more a case of principle I guess. I just think for the price advertised a real true type really isnt a lot to ask. Would it stop me purchasing a full set for a rainman release I really wanted? Probably not. Its still a bit hard to swallow though.

For me its two things one is the hands. The knock offs are crap but second its the principal. I collect these because of the character and really name/quality recognition.

Rainman=quality custom "best"

When a cheap body is used it makes me feel that is lessened.

When I make something I want it to be the best. Cheap body isn't the best. I thought he had that same philosophy.
